August 2016 Dear Caring Community Member, Since 1988 the Home Builders Association Foundation has been making an impact on the lives of those with special housing needs and supporting development of the next generation of housing industry professionals. The HBA Foundation continues to find ways to impact our community: For 25 years we’ve partnered with Home Repair Services and Disability Advocates to complete more than 620 critical repairs, including wheelchair access ramps, for those who need them most through Community Repair Days. We’ve contributed more than $250,000 in grant assistance to other area nonprofits serving individuals with special housing needs including Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House and Our Hope, a shelter serving the most vulnerable women and children in our community. We’ve awarded more than $150,000 in individual student scholarships to support the next generation of housing industry professionals. Your support of our Clay Shoot event, taking place October 27, 201t at The Kent County Conservation League will make it possible for us to continue to make a difference in our community. Please see the enclosed donation form for more information. Thank you for your consideration and support. Sincerely, Jan Lehman Foundation Board President Jodie Rykse Salmoran Foundation Director BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS. BUILDING COMMUNITY. BUILDING WORKFORCE.
