Nitodel Soriano in a Recollection where he shared with the group the Ten Secrets of Pope Francis for living a holy life. First secret is to follow God with your whole life without compromise, without hypocrisy; second, to get your sense of security from God’s love and not on material things; third, to always serve others with gladness; fourth, to learn to suffer with those who suffer, and rejoice with those who rejoice; fifth, to bear suffering and adversity without hatred; sixth,to respond Critical Care Nursing soon to open in Riverside College After training in The Medical City in Metro Manila, Clinical Instructors Joemarie Dy and Dennis Escalona are now ready to share their experience in ”Critical Care Nursing.” Given by the Critical Care Nurses Association of the Philippines, Inc., the training has equipped the two CIs in preparation for the offering of a Specialized Nursing Program this coming July, 2015. The program is one of the innovations in the Graduate School program of Riverside headed by its Dean, Dr. Arlyn P. Hinolan. Ten very difficult secrets to keep and more than that, it is also very difficult to practice. Teachers need to learn and live a life of holiness as they face students everyday. More than the delivery of instruction, teachers are expected to live a life of grace love, authenticity as well as integrity for they carry with them the responsibility of being looked up to by the students. As teachers, living a life of holiness is not an easy task. To plant seeds of kindness in the hearts of every student entrusted to his care and to be sensitive to their concerns is only the beginning of a deeper calling to serve. As classes begin on June 15, students in Riverside College are assured of what to expect from the new Academic Year. New lessons and experiences, fun and exciting activities, challenging opportunities and most of all, teachers who are gifted with GRACE to exude, LOVE to share, AUTHENTICITY to impart and INTEGRITY to exemplify to their students. ARCS Summer Outing The Association of Riverside College Staff went on a Summer Outing last May 9 at Mambukal Mountain Resort. ARCS is a group composed of the Non-Teaching Personnel of Riverside and headed by Ms. Janet Villanueva. Vol. 10 JUNE No.1 2015 Summer is fun when shared... Finding meaning to one’s summer vacation has been realized among the Varsity Players and Coaches of Riverside when they had a Sports Clinic with GK Smile Village in Murcia last May 14 and 15. Under the initiative and supervision of RC Sports Coordinator Ms. Analou Claridad, the children and youth of the said village were privileged to learn the basics in playing Badminton, Volleyball and Taekwondo. The varsity players felt the joy of imparting their God-given talents to their brothers and sisters who definitely deserve to know how such games are to be played and how to build each other up in times of competitions and how friendships could be built among team players. The Sports Clinic was materialized in coordination with the Community Extension Office . LIBRARY UPDATES Ms. Jiji Berina and Ms. Analiza Licayan of the Library attended the ALBASA 42nd Annual and General Assembly last May 19-21 in Cebu City.
