MISSION STATEMENT
The South Houston Ducks organization provides a competitive
platform for young athletes to compete in the game of football,
while also serving in our communities with integrity and a
commitment of excellence.
ABOUT US
As former semi-pro football players, coaches, and
cheerleaders, our leadership team understands the pride
and sense of achievement that comes from participating in a
competitive sport. That is why we have come together to form
a charitable non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to
bringing amateur football to Houston’s youth and young adult
population. We are determined to bring a new level of play
to the community that will allow our young adults to participate
in an organized amateur football league that can serve as a
stepping-stone for entrance into more professional teams. Our
new franchise, The South Houston Ducks, was announced as a
new minor professional league franchise in Houston and was
invited to join Crossroads Amateur Football League’s (CRAFL)
Xclusive Football League (XFL), a nationally ranked “AAA”
football league. Our board members are fully prepared to
offer their personal and professional expertise to help this
organization thrive, and—under their leadership—we are
already achieving city-wide recognition. We are asking for
volunteers, sponsors, players, coaches, and cheerleaders to join
this fantastic movement and help us bring a fresh look to the
game of football to the Houston community.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
The South Houston Ducks are committed to making a difference
in the community. Through a variety of outreach programs, our
players help local teenagers realize their goals of getting into
college and professional football. We also support a variety
of charitable causes.
CHARITABLE CAUSES - Supporting awareness for Lupus,
Diabetes, and various forms of Cancer
COMMUNITY OUTREACH – Hospital visits, Holiday
Fundraisers, Youth Camps, or School visits.
STUDENT-ATHLETE PROGRAM
Our Student-Athlete Program is designed to assist players who
maintain collegiate player eligibility in enrolling in community
college. We have established relationships with guidance counselors
from Houston Community College throughout the City of Houston
and surrounding areas that will help our student-athletes with their
goals. Our counselors will assist them with selecting core classes that
will transfer into any Division 1, Division 2, or junior college. Our
coaches and staff will be in direct contact with college scouts for
recruiting. We will send out statewide SHD programs with profiles
of all our players enrolled into the Student-athlete program.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
NEXT – LEVEL PROGRAM
The Next-Level Program is designed for players who have
completed college or are otherwise ineligible in the NCAA.
These athletes are trying to further their career into any
professional level of football. We will assist them with media
press kits that will include player profiles, highlight tapes, game
tapes, combine and workout tapes and scheduling private
workout sessions for scouts. Our coaching staff will be in contact
with several professional scouts who can come and evaluate
players who have the desire to take their football careers to the
professional level.
The South Houston Ducks commit our time and services to several
charitable projects throughout the year. The players, cheer
team, and staff have shared interests in giving back to the
community and causes that are dear to their hearts. The team
also shares these principles in youth programs such as football
and cheer camps.

BARNHART STADIUM
KINKAID SCHOOL
The South Houston Ducks would like to introduce you to the
Home of the 2013 season. Barnhart Stadium is located on the
campus of The Kinkaid School, located at 201 Kinkaid School
Drive - Houston, Texas 77024. This newly renovated stadium can
seat up to 2,500 people, allowing the South Houston Ducks can
entertain their fans on brand new artificial grass-turf. We will
be welcoming family and friends to attend our games, as a part
of the CRAF leagues’ XFL division. We are very thankful and
blessed to have great support from the staff and coaches at
Kinkaid School.

MEET OUR HEAD COACH:
COACH GREG KOCH
It is an honor to introduce you to Greg Koch, Head Football Coach
for the South Houston Ducks. Coach Koch played 11 seasons in the
NFL, mainly with the Green Bay Packers. He was inducted into the
Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in 2010. Additionally, he belongs
to the University of Arkansas Hall of Fame.
Coach Koch has coached and mentored high school student athletes
in the Houston area. He is also a licensed attorney in trade, as
well as a radio personality on Sports Talk 790 KBME with N.D.
Kalu right here in The City of Houston. We know that Coach Koch
knows what it takes to get to THE NEXT LEVEL of play, and with his
coaching abilities, we believe he will help our players achieve their
goals. We are very excited to have him aboard our NEW MINOR
LEAGUE FRANCHISE and ready for him to lead our soldiers into
war and to the championship in the C.R.A.F. leagues’ XFL division.

UNIFORM
The South Houston Ducks will be wearing custom-designed uniforms
that will attract the attention of spectators, players, and our
opponents during game time. The team uniforms will consist of two
to four color and style combinations, including jersey tops, jersey
pants, and belts. The uniforms will be customized with tackle twill
lettering for the numbers, logos, player names, and sponsor patches.
The fabric will be similar to that used by Nike for the NCAA, NFL,
and Pro Combat uniforms. All player helmets will require Matte
Black background with chrome wings on the side, with South
Houston Ducks decal in safety yellow. Team socks will be Nike
Football Vapor socks which are being use by all NCAA colleges
and universities.

TRAINING GEAR
The South Houston Ducks will be wearing training gear in a variety
of colors and styles. Players will sport this gear during the offseason training, workouts, practice, and when doing community
service. Players are also encouraged to wear their gear regularly
to help get the word out about the team and help with marketing
efforts throughout the community.

As cheerleaders for the South Houston Ducks, formally known as the
South Houston Swans, our goal is to enhance the community through
civic involvement and services. We soar with elegance as one, showing

THE XCLUSIVE
FOOTBALL LEAGUE
The Xclusive Football League is the newest breed and uncontested
standard for the elite level of football at the minor league level in
Texas. Their mission is to manage and hold teams accountable for
operational expectations in order to maintain the highest quality.
By combining effective league management with the highest
caliber of players, the XFL will attain a level of credibility for its
predictable operational nature, ultimately resulting in the potential
for value creations for XFL Organizations. The XFL intends to
achieve this feat by only working with those organizations that have
proven success in general management and operations. While the
XFL partner league welcomes those teams seeking to make a name,
the XFL relies on branded teams with a history of organizational
success and the ability to become the most competitive in the region.
Of 98 Teams in Texas, the XFL has identified only 23 as potential
candidates to participate at the XFL Level. By combining the best
from around the state, the competitive level of play will be fierce
from one week to the next.
