And the angel said unto her, Fear
not, Mary: “for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou
shalt conceive in thy womb, and
bring forth a son, and shalt call his
name JESUS.”

So Joseph also went up from the
town of Nazareth in Galilee to
Judea, to Bethlehem the town of
David, because he belonged to the
house and line of David. He went
there to register with Mary, who was
pledged to be married to him and
was expecting a child. While they
were there, the time came for the
baby to be born, and she gave birth
to her firstborn, a son. Anche Giuseppe, che era della
casa e della famiglia di Davide,

night. And lo, the angel of the Lord
came upon them, and the glory of
the Lord shone round about them,
and they were sore afraid. And the
angel said unto them, “Fear not, for
behold, I bring you good tidings of
great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day
in the City of David a Savior, who is
Christ the Lord. And this shall be a
sign unto you: Ye shall find the Babe
wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying
in a manger.”

C’erano in quella regione alcuni
pastori che vegliavano di notte facendo la guardia al loro gregge. Un
angelo del Signore si presentò davanti a loro e la gloria del Signore li
avvolse di luce. Essi furono presi da
grande spavento, ma l’angelo disse
loro: “Non temete, ecco vi annunzio
una grande gioia, che sarà di tutto il
popolo: oggi vi è nato nella città di
Davide un salvatore, che è il Cristo
Signore. Questo per voi il segno:
troverete un bambino avvolto in
fasce, che giace in una mangiatoia”.

In jener Gegend lagerten Hirten auf
freiem Feld und hielten Nachtwache bei ihrer Herde. Da trat der
Engel des Herrn zu ihnen und der
Glanz des Herrn umstrahlte sie.
Sie fürchteten sich sehr, der Engel
aber sagte zu ihnen: “Fürchtet euch
nicht, denn ich verkünde euch eine
große Freude, die dem ganzen Volk
zuteil werden soll: Heute ist euch in
der Stadt Davids der Retter geboren; er ist der Messias, der Herr. Und
das soll euch als Zeichen dienen:
Ihr werdet ein Kind finden, das, in
Windeln gewickelt, in einer Krippe
liegt.”

“Let us now go even unto Bethlehem and see this thing which has
come to pass, which the Lord hath
made known unto us.”And they
came with haste and found Mary
and Joseph, and the Babe lying in
a manger.

Als Jesus zur Zeit des Königs Herodes in
Betlehem in Judäa geboren worden war,
kamen Sterndeuter aus dem Osten nach
Jerusalem und fragten: “Wo ist der neugeborene König der Juden? Wir haben seinen Stern aufgehen sehen und sind gekommen, um ihm zu huldigen.”

Gesù nacque nella cittadina di Betlemme,
in Giudea, durante il regno di Erode. In quel
periodo alcuni magi arrivarono a Gerusalemme dall’Oriente e chiesero: “Dov’è il re
dei Giudei appena nato? Abbiamo visto la
sua stella nei lontani paesi d’Oriente e siamo venuti qui per adorarlo.”

Nachdem die Weisen aus dem
Morgenland abgereist waren, erschien Josef ein Engel im Traum.
Dieser befahl ihm, mit Maria und
Jesus nach Ägypten zu fliehen, da
Herodes das Kind töten wolle.

Dann kehrten sie gemeinsam nach
Nazareth zurück, und Jesus war seinen Eltern gehorsam. Seine Mutter aber
dachte immer wieder über die Worte
nach, die er gesagt hatte.
Poi Gesù tornò a Nazaret con loro e fu

And He went down with them and came
to Nazareth, and was subject unto
them. But His mother kept all these
things in her heart.

And as they were eating, Jesus took
bread and blessed it and broke it, and
gave it to the disciples and said, “Take,
eat; this is My body.”
Mentre stavano mangiando, Gesù
prese del pane, lo benedì, lo spezzò, poi lo diede ai discepoli, dicendo:
“Prendete e mangiate, questo è il mio
corpo.”
Während sie aßen, nahm Jesus Brot,
sprach das Dankgebet, teilte das Brot
und gab jedem seiner Jünger ein Stück
davon: “Nehmt und esst! Das ist mein
Leib.”
Then Jesus came with them unto a
place called Gethsemane, and said
unto the disciples, “Sit ye here while
I go and pray yonder.”
Allora Gesù li portò in un orto, detto
Getsemani, e disse loro di sedere
ed aspettare mentre andava avanti
a pregare. Prese con sé Pietro e i
due figli di Zebedeo, Giacomo e
Giovanni, e cominciò a sentirsi angosciato e disperato.

Jüngern in einen Garten, der Gethsemane heißt. Dort bat er sie: “Setzt
euch hier hin, und wartet auf mich!
Ich will ein Stück weiter gehen und
beten.”

But the chief priests and elders
persuaded the multitude that they
should ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. The governor answered and said unto them, “Which
of the two will ye that I release unto
you?” They said, “Barabbas!”
Nel frattempo, i capi sacerdoti e gli
alti esponenti giudei persuadevano
la folla a chiedere la liberazione di
Barabba e la morte di Gesù. Perciò, quando il governatore chiese di
nuovo: “Chi di questi due volete che
liberi?” la folla gridò: “Barabba!”
Inzwischen aber hatten die Hohenpriester und die führenden Männer
des Volkes die Menge aufgewiegelt. Sie sollten von Pilatus verlangen,
Barabbas zu begnadigen und Jesus
umzubringen. Als der Statthalter
nun seine Frage wiederholte: “Wen
von den beiden soll ich freilassen?”,
schrie die Menge: “Barabbas!”

And He, bearing His cross, went
forth into a place called the Place
of a Skull (which is called in the Hebrew, Golgotha)
Presero Gesù e lo portarono subito
fuori città, ed egli salì fino al luogo
detto “il Teschio”, in ebraico “Gòlgota”, portando sulle spalle la sua
croce.
Sein Kreuz musste er selbst tragen,
vom Richtplatz bis hin zur “Schädelstätte”. Auf Hebräisch heißt dieser
Ort “Golgatha”.

He said.

When Jesus therefore had received
the vinegar, He said, “It is finished.”
And He bowed His head and gave
up the ghost.
Dopo che Gesù n’ebbe bevuto, disse: “Tutto è compiuto”, chinò il capo
e morì.
Als Jesus davon getrunken hatte,
rief er: “Es ist vollbracht!” Dann ließ
er den Kopf sinken und starb.
