KANNAGI
Jin Mikuriya, a member of high school art club, finally completes a wooden
statue of a fairy for an exhibition. But the statue is not an ordinary one, and

and Tsutomu and Birdy face an unexpected fact in the course of investigation.
The four seem to be ordinary people and lead normal lives, but they definitely
have a big secret: They are vampires!

through the ceiling to escape to the surface above. Then one
day, the ceiling of the village collapsed with an earthquake
and a gigantic machine falls from the sky! At that moment,
Kamina realizes that the surface do really exist and he tries to
fight against the raging machine. Moments later, Yoko, a girl with
a rifle, also comes down from the surface. She was following the
machine to take it down, but with her rifle, she is only able to
slow it down. As they came to the push, Simon shows Kamina
and Yoko, the mysterious drill he found the other day. The
drill was actually a machine with its head only...

In the 14th year of the Tenpo era, there is a secret shrine for “Bansha Aratamesho” (a research
institution for foreign literature and learners) under the city of Edo. To the public, this organization

mission is far more significant. Bansha Aratamesho is responsible to slay the “Yoh-is”, the evil
spirits with flesh and blood from another world, that are expanding into Edo. Bansha Aratamesho
is not an official organization. Members do not have the typical credentials to be the vassal of
Shogun. It consists of a man who lost his memory, a man who was
raised in a mountain and a girl who dresses up in a man’s outfit.

In year 20xx, a civil war broke out in a small country in Asia. With the intervention of the UN army,
the war only seemed to expand but the unexpected discovery of one photo at the battlefield started a

have been in war with each other, hanging a “Flag” above the holy ground during the battle. The flag

A mysterious group of high-school kids called

Toward the Terra…
The Earth is dying -- The air has been polluted, the nature has been destroyed, the ground has
been poisoned and fish have disappeared from the sea. Humans are struggling and trying any
possible measures to save the planet during the so-called “S.D. era”. The “Special Government
System” has been established to control all life forms in the society where humans are forced to
work like machine under computers’ control. Far away from the earth, there are people who have
been excluded from the society because of their special power. These people are called “Mu.” If
they are found on the earth, they are killed immediately because they are thought to be dangerous
to the society. They hide their power from the government,
and think to themselves who they really are and why they
exist, and what the real purpose of the earth system is.
Although humans avoid Mu people, they would like humans
to recognize their existence. And they would like to step
on the ground of their homeland, the earth…. Their strong
desire drives them to embark on a journey to the earth.

The story is set in "Karakuri Oedo", a fantasic world with dream, desire and
contraption. Karakuri Oedo is a world developed from the Edo period where
the samurai used to live. The hero, "Zenmai Zamurai" is a samurai with a spring
on his head. He used to be a little, timid thief boy in his pre-existence, named
"Zennosuke". However, by chance, he happens to drop into the old well and has
wandered between the land of the living and the dead for a while. Then, he is
endowed with a new life by "God of Happiness". He is born again in this world,
but he could only live when his spring is turning... Like this, Zenmai Zamurai
is obliged to do his good deed for the day.
With a little probationary ninja, Mamemaru,
Zenmai Zamurai rustles around to do a lot of
good in Karakuri Oedo town! There appear a
lot of other unique characters like a heroine,
"Zukin-chan", and Zenmai Zamurai's rival,
"Namezaemon" in the story. Everybody
all over the world will love this Karakuri
Oedo world.
