The Child Welfare Of ice of the Balatonfüred
CentreforBasicSocialServicesdealswithchil‐
drenwithmultiplesocialdisadvantageslivingin
themicroregionofBalatonfü red.Itisagreatdif‐
icultyforparentswhobringuptheirchildalone,
andareinsomecasesunemployed,totakecare
of their children and pass values and right be‐
havioural patterns onto them. The current pro‐
ject of the Of ice “Let’sLearnWhileCamping”
aims to signi icantly contribute to the children’s
physical, spiritual and mental development and
well‐being. Taking the age characteristics and
needs of the campers into account, experts will
helpthemnotonlytoacquirecommunityvalues
and standards, but also to use them on a daily
basis. This provides a irm background for the
children’spersonalityandsocialskillstodevelop
andanopportunityforthem
togaintheirownexperience
in social interactions. The
atmosphere, in which these
children grow up and spend
their days, unfortunately
cannot ensure this, which
makes the project so vitally
importantforthem.

Foundationof
Déva
was established in
2002, primarily to
support the child
protecting homes,
schools and day‐
care centres run by the Franciscans of
Transylvania. It helps disadvantaged children in
their daily needs, such as accommodation, meals,
nursing, education and inding or providing jobs
for them. Today more than 2000 children are
taken care of in 21 child homes and 45 day‐care
centres. In 2010, a new home was opened for 20
childrennexttoMarosvá sá rhely,inDó zsaGyö rgy.
In order to cope with inancial dif iculties, this
home intends to be a self‐reliant in the future.
Also,childrenmustlearnthebasicsofgardening,
fruitandvegetableproductionnotonlytodevelop
a positive attitude towards work but also to
providefortheirfuturehome.Toachievethis,the
DózsaGyörgyChildHomeistobeextendedwith
a vegetable garden and an orchard protected by
fenceonaonehectarearea.

outstanding in Hungary, where vine‐growing and wine‐
making has a two thousand year history. It lies on the
north‐east of Lake Balaton. The area gained more
importance when it became the property of the Abbot of
