2015 REALTOR® Day
2015 REALTOR® Day was on October 20th. Attendance could have been better, but

Dear CLRA Members:
Thanksgiving is upon us, and we all have so much to be thankful for. We only have
several more events lined up for the remainder of the year so please mark your calendars. There are several more CEs being offered at the Association office; please
check the calendar in the newsletter for more information.
What’s been going on lately.....Special thanks to all who came out for the second annual
REALTOR® Day and what a great time we had! Curtis Wright was our presenter at the meeting. Participants learned all about being “At Home With Diversity.” We were excited to
share the day with Louisiana REALTORS® staff Brei Delahoussaye, Norman Morris, and 2015
LR President Beth Cristina. Special thanks to all of our sponsors and vendors who came out
to showcase their services.
What we have to look forward to over the next several months.....The new website is up and
running! Please feel free to visit www.centrallarealtors.org. You will need to register with a
user name and password to access the full site. It really looks great and we are all so proud
that it is finally up and running. Also, if you have not joined our Facebook group, please do so!
Simply look up Central Louisiana REALTORS® Association on Facebook and request to be
added to the group. Don’t forget to RSVP for the Annual Installation Banquet and Awards
Ceremony at Melady House on December 11. Reservations will be required, and it will be a
fun evening of dinner, dancing, and live entertainment! Invitations should be arriving in the
mail this week. We are also still collecting toys for "Toys for Tots" and canned goods for the
food bank. We will be looking for unwrapped store bought gifts and will have locations in
both Alex & Pineville to drop off toys for the drive.
Thank you all for your confidence in me as your President and our wonderful Board of Directors who have worked tirelessly this year to make it a fantastic one.


The Political Action Committee presented checks to local candidates at a meet
and greet luncheon at the Association office on October 15. Checks were presented to William Earl Hilton, Robin L. Hooter, Rick Ducote Jr., Bubba Moreau,
Joe Bishop, Craig Smith, Theodore Fountaine Jr., Richard G. Vanderlick, Ollie
Overton, Sean McGlothlin, Richard Billings, and Scott Perry Jr. Our PAC dollars
at work here in Cenla!

An Appraiser Panel was held at the Association office on September 30. Thanks
to all who participated!



A blood drive was held at the CLRA Office in Alexandria and at Public Service
Mortgage in Pineville on October 30. Thanks to all who participated. A special
thanks to Public Service Mortgage for donating two $50 gift cards as door prizes
and to Key Realty for donating candy and additional door prize gift cards!

