President: Election Committee received 9 signed nomination forms. Our community is still in need of a nominee for the treasurer position. Please consider and participate by running for this special position. Deadline line for candidates’ name for the ballot is on February 2, 2016. Election Committee members will hand-deliver the Election package to you between - Feb 5 (Friday) and Feb 7 (Sunday). If you are not available at home on these days, please contact any one of our Election Committee members to obtain your package. Otherwise, Election Committee will mail the package to you on Feb 9. Each lot owner(s) will receive a package including the following information: - A cover letter from the Election Committee - A Sample Ballot - A copy of 2016 proposed budget - A copy of proposed Capital Improvement Proxy and Absentee Ballots are available upon request only. In order to qualify to vote, one must be a property owner in Pasco County Property Record and in good standing in the community. Once again, the Election Committee would like to thank those who have become candidates in the coming Election. Let’s all support our Annual Election. Please sign up if there is something you’d like to participate in or help out with. This is extremely important as it ensures we have enough of everything needed to go around. Also, anytime you are planning to bring a dish to a function, please signup and note what you will be bringing so that others can see what if anything is still needed. Do you do crafts or have a collection of your favorite things? How about your very favorite recipe that your always being asked to bring to functions? Or perhaps an exciting vacation or cruise you’ve enjoyed? We are hoping you will share with us as we thought this would be a fun way to get to know you. You’re welcome to bring some actual pieces of your work or pictures to pass around. There are many options for this activity. February 7th ~ Super Bowl Party ~ Panthers or Broncos ~ Come root for your favorite team. Bring your own drink and an hors d’oeuvre to share. Kick off @ 6:30 p.m. February 8th ~ Soup Supper ~ 6:00 p.m. Cost is $4.00 pp - pay at the door. Menu: all the homemade soup you can eat rolls desert We hope you will be willing to show off what talents you have and we’ll have fun - getting to know you! Our first activity will be right after our Leap Year Potluck. Please sign up letting us know you plan to participate. This is a “first come, first served” - until it’s gone. Come enjoy a great meal with your friends! We’d love to make this a regular event but to do so, we need folks willing to share. Cut off date for ticket purchase is February 10th. March 5th ~ Community Garage & Bake Sale Participation cost of $5.00 to help cover the newspaper advertisements. Your choice as to whether to have a table at the clubhouse or in your own driveway. The social club will be accepting donations from anyone not wanting to have their own table. We look forward to having many baskets to choose from as with past auctions. Jacky Proulx and Jackie Bredlau for chairing our January 9th breakfast. What a great way to start off the morning ~ delicious meal cooked by someone else shared with wonderful friends! Congratulations to Irene & Bob for winning the 50/50 of $36.00! And cherished memories never fade because a loved one’s gone. The Soup Supper was delicious as always. Thank you to everyone who brought soup, dessert, breads etc. And to the cleanup crew and all the many helping hands. You are all very appreciated. We had a packed house with our New Years Eve Party. The dance floor was hopp’n as we enjoyed music from Lynn & Joel. The 50/50 of $78.00 was won by Jim Bizuer. Congratulations! We look forward to enjoying Lynn & Joel next year as well. Those we love can never be more than a thought apart, for as long as there is a memory, they’ll live on in our heart.
