Online Auction New This Year
We are trying something new this year, and have uploaded several
items (G67-G73) to an online auction.
Browse to www.32auctions.com/bruu, create an account, and start
bidding!
Silent Auction Tips
• You will be assigned an auction number. This will also be
your number for the door prize drawings (you must be present to win). Read about each item on its bid sheet and in this
booklet.
• Write your auction number and bid amount on the bid sheet for
items you choose. Verify all slots are full before moving to the
next $ amount.
• Check your bid often; if the slots are full you can bid again by
writing a higher number in the “price” column and your auction number in the adjacent slot. Make sure you are high bidder in each slot you want to win.
• The silent auction items are color coded to end either at 7:45
(red) or 9:00 (blue). Look for the signs and listen for the announcements.
Live Auction
(also known as “not so silent auction”)
• To bid on an item, hold up your auction number and call out
the desired number of slots and your bid amount.
• A demonstration in the first round of live auctions will help you
see how to keep track of how many slots you have.
• There will be several different sessions of bidding, so pace
yourself!
Payment Policy
Please pay at night of auction...bring your checkbook,
Visa, or Mastercard.
All items MUST be paid for by December 15, 2014.
Bull Run Unitarian Universalists Mission Statement
Bull Run Unitarian Universalists (BRUU) is a
safe community for seeking and service
Welcoming Congregation
Bull Run Unitarian Universalists is a Welcoming Congregation
which celebrates and supports the lives, the relationships, and the
individual and group contributions of its lesbian, gay, bisexual, and
transgender members and friends. We affirm and promote their full
participation in the life of the congregation and community. We
pledge our congregation’s commitment to continue dismantling
the belief that heterosexuality is the only normal, acceptable, and
healthy sexual orientation.
Unitarian Universalist Principles
We, the member congregations of the
Unitarian Universalist Association,
covenant to affirm and promote:
•The inherent worth and dignity of every person.
•Justice, equity and compassion in human relations.
•Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual
growth in our congregations.
•A free and responsible search for truth and meaning.
•The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process
within our congregations and in society at large.
•The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice
for all.
•Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which
we are a part.
