C A M PA I G N N E W S L E T T E R 2 0 1 4 We Celebrated our 20th Anniversary! On August 11th, SOS celebrated our 20th Anniversary by hosting an Open House at our warehouse. It was a great party which included presenting thank you plaques to our top donors: Manulife, the Ross and Doris Dixon Foundation and TD Canada Trust. We also had cupcakes donated by The Scone Ladies, The Cake Tutor, Waterloo Cupcakes and Kelly Kasper-Bell which made the event that much more delicious! Thank you to everyone who attended; you made the event a big success! ‘Supper for Smiles’ Another Success Thank you to Joe Paiva and his colleagues from Swiss Chalet and Harveys. On September 11th, $1 from every quarter chicken dinner and $0.50 from every burger sold was donated to SOS. They raised a total of $2,075! JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT BUSINESS SPIRIT AWARD On November 6th, SOS received the “Caring for Youth” award at the Junior Achievement Business Spirit Awards dinner. It is awarded to a non-profit organization or individual who has contributed to the quality of life and support for youth in the community. SOS also received certificates of congratulations from local MP Peter Braid and local MPP Michael Harris. Way to go team! Make a Difference – Donate Now!
