COURSE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Breast, GYN and GU: The Essentials of Accurate Surgical Pathologic Diagnosis
The goal of this course is to provide Surgical Pathologists with cutting edge, as well
as, practical updates for improving diagnostic skills on tumors of the breast and female genital tract, with an emphasis on avoiding over- or under-diagnosis. Course
objectives are to cover in detail:
■ State-of-the-art criteria for differentiating benign, borderline and malignant lesions.
■ Use of appropriate ancillary IHC stains and molecular assays.
■ Challenging differential diagnoses, controversial issues and tumor-specific analysis.
MAUNA KEA RESORT, BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII
THE MAUNA KEA RESORT, located on the sunny
Kohala Coast, includes the newly renovated Mauna
Kea Beach Hotel and the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel,
each overlooking soothing white sand beaches ranked
among the world’s best beaches by Conde’ Nast
Traveler.
“Every great beach deserves a great hotel.”
This was said by Laurance S. Rockefeller, who
founded The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel in 1965. Four
decades later, following a $150 million repair and renovation, The Mauna Kea once again stands as a landmark of luxury on the Big Island's golden Kohala Coast.
The Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel has defined Big
Island luxury since its opening in 1994. As the second
phase in Rockefeller’s creation of the Mauna Kea
Resort, the hotel property shares 1,839 acres of oceanfront paradise with the legendary Mauna Kea Beach
Hotel. Perfectly nestled into the bluffs above the
#1-rated Hapuna Beach, the hotel presents a flowing,
contemporary Hawaiian style, where guests experience the true essence of rejuvenation.
The Big Island is a treasure trove of exploration,
incredible scenery and phenomenal places to visit.
See the mighty mountains, Mauna Loa (13,679 feet)
and lofty snow clad Mauna Kea (13,796 feet), Kilauea
Volcano, the Kau Desert, gorgeous waterfalls, the Puna
Fern Forest, the colorful orchids of Hilo, Volcanos
National Park, Kealakekua Bay, Kailua-Kona, Kawaihae,
Parker Ranch and Waipio Valley.
