to the Diamond Club in 2016 - Etihad Stadium’s prestigious
and exclusive sports and entertainment Membership.
This handbook is designed to help you familiarise yourself
with the Club and maximise your use of this valuable asset.
Within the handbook you will find all the information
you need to make the most of your Diamond Club
Membership. Also included are the Club’s policies
and procedures, specifically event day ticketing policies,
dress code policy, VIP parking and entry procedures
as well as food and beverage arrangements.
The Diamond Club Membership also provides additional
benefits including AFL Membership, access to the AFL’s
Premiership Club at the MCG, the Chairman’s Club
at Flemington Racecourse as well as playing rights
at Moonah Links, Barnbougle and new for 2016,
Club Mandalay golf courses.

CHANGE OF CONTACT DETAILS
To ensure you derive maximum benefit from your
Diamond Club Membership, it is important that we have
access to your current contact details. Please advise the
Diamond Club Manager of any changes that may occur.
This includes phone numbers, postal and email addresses
as well as the information of everyone linked to your
Membership including the primary Member, Nominee
and Administrator (if applicable).

Any change to Membership details must come from
the primary Member. As email is the preferred method
of communication, please ensure that we always have
your current email address on record. This is important
so that we can keep you informed of upcoming events
and other significant Diamond Club information.

DRESS CODE
The Diamond Club enforces a strict dress code.
Patrons who are not appropriately attired will not
be permitted into the Diamond Club.
Diamond Club Members and your guests are expected
to maintain a neat and tidy appearance whenever you
enter the Club.
For males a jacket, smart trousers and a collared business
shirt is the preferred minimum dress requirement while ties
are optional. Women are required to dress appropriately.
Team scarves are acceptable. Denim, t-shirts, polo shirts,
sports shoes and sports clothing are strictly not permitted
in the Club.
Members are responsible for ensuring that the attire
of guests attending the Club conforms to the
expected standard.
CHILDREN IN THE DIAMOND CLUB
Children under the age of 16 are only permitted in the
Diamond Club if a prior arrangement has been made
with the Diamond Club Manager.

VIP CAR PARK
Etihad Stadium’s Diamond Club VIP underground car park
provides convenient direct access from your car to the Club.
Members will be sent a VIP car park ticket together with entry
tickets for each specific event.
The Diamond Club Members’ access is located at Car Park Entry
A on the Bourke Street entrance to the stadium and opens two
hours before an event. A Diamond Club attendant will direct
Members to the area adjacent to the Gate 9 lift lobby.

PURCHASING ADDITIONAL CAR PARK TICKETS
Members can purchase an additional car park ticket for a
designated 2016 Toyota AFL Premiership match or other
sporting event at Etihad Stadium by contacting the Diamond
Club Manager. The cost is $30.00 per vehicle per event.

MOBILITY IMPAIRED
Tram
Etihad Stadium offers a range of access options to the
mobility impaired. Lifts operate from each level of the
underground car park to all levels of the venue. The car
park has a number of designated parking bays for mobility
impaired patrons, the majority of which are in Car Park A.
Should you or your guests require mobility impaired parking,
please contact the Diamond Club Manager for assistance.
Tram services from La Trobe Street approach Etihad
Stadium at Gate 7, while trams from Bourke, Collins
and Spencer Streets are accessible via the pedestrian
footbridge at Southern Cross Station. The City Circle
tram runs approximately every twelve minutes and

The nearest taxi ranks are located on Harbour Esplanade
outside AFL House, on Bourke Street outside the NAB

Etihad Stadium is approximately 180 metres from
Southern Cross Station, which is only a short walk across
the Bourke Street pedestrian footbridge. Southern Cross
Station services both metropolitan and country train lines.

FROM THE CONCOURSE
The most convenient access to the Diamond Club
is through Gate 9, located on the harbour side of
Etihad Stadium. This gate is specifically marked as the
Diamond Club entry. Scan your event ticket through the
turnstile and proceed to Level C via the lifts or stairs,
then present your ticket for a secondary scan on Level C
to access the Corporate Suite Level. Proceed to the
Diamond Club lift within the entrance lobby to reach
the Diamond Club.
FROM THE CAR PARK
Scan your event ticket through the turnstile at the Gate 9
entry lobby and proceed to Level C via the lifts or stairs,
then present your ticket for a secondary scan on Level C
to access the Corporate Suite Level. Proceed to the
Diamond Club lift within the entrance lobby to reach
the Diamond Club.
Please note you must be in possession of a valid event
ticket to enter the venue from the car park.

DIAMOND CLUB BOOKING PROCEDURE
TICKETING
At the start of each year, Members will receive a
schedule of the stadium’s confirmed sporting events
highlighting the high-demand games. This information
will also be available on the Diamond Club website.
Members will be encouraged to nominate the preferred
events they wish to attend. These nominations can be
made six weeks prior to the event by email or telephone,
allowing both the Member and the Diamond Club
Manager to plan ahead. All requests will be confirmed
by the Diamond Club Manager.
Guest passes will only be available for pre-nominated
events as outlined at the beginning of the year.
Members are asked to submit event requests, including
any additional guest pass requests, no later than 12 noon
on the Thursday prior to the event. Late bookings will
be subject to availability and all late requests will require
approval from the Diamond Club Manager*.
*
For all late bookings, tickets will be available for collection
at the stadium on the day.

OVERFLOW ARRANGEMENTS
HIGH DEMAND EVENTS
In the event of the Diamond Club reaching capacity,
Members will be presented with the following options:
For high-demand games such as Friday night AFL matches
and some international events, due to the Club’s capacity,
it may be necessary to re-configure the dining areas in order
to accommodate as many Members as possible. Ticketing
will be limited to two tickets per Membership and guest
ticketing for these events will be subject to availability.
◊
Members will be offered two Medallion Club seats per
Membership in the Medallion Club seating bowl for the
nominated event without affecting their Diamond Club
allocation. Members are welcome to then make dining
arrangements within the Medallion Club.
◊
If a Member requires pre-arranged dining, Members
will be provided with two seats in the Medallion Club
together with dining for two in the Medallion Club Grille
Steakhouse. This allocation will be deducted from your
Diamond Club allocation. Additional Medallion Club
guest ticketing and dining will be charged at $380 per
person. Alternatively you can opt to have these packages
deducted from your Members’ Diamond Club allocation.
All booking requests can be submitted by telephone
or email. The Diamond Club Manager will confirm
all booking requests and send your entry and parking
tickets one week prior to the nominated event.
The booking request forms are available on the
Diamond Club website.
The Club’s external viewing seat capacity is limited to
40 therefore all confirmed bookings will be allocated
either an external viewing seat or a window table on
Levels 4 and 5 in lieu of outdoor seating.
BOOKING CONFIRMATION
All booking requests will be confirmed by the
Diamond Club Manager including any additional
guest ticketing requests.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Please contact the Diamond Club Manager by
Wednesday 12 noon should you need to cancel
attendance to any event. After this point, any late
cancellations may result in the event being deducted
from your Membership entitlement.

GUEST TICKETING
LOST EVENT TICKETS
Diamond Club guest tickets for AFL matches and
additional sporting events may be available, subject to
demand, and only at pre-nominated events as listed in
your Member pack.
We request that you take all necessary precautions
to protect your event tickets and keep them in a
secure place. As a safeguard, when issuing tickets to
your guests we recommend that you keep a record
of all ticket numbers. Recording ticket numbers will
simplify the process if the tickets are misplaced.
Cost: $380.00 per adult inclusive of admission and
food and beverages.
To purchase guest tickets please contact the Diamond
Club Manager: 0457 715 556. On event days where
additional guest tickets are available, Members are
entitled to utilise up to four guest passes from their
annual entitlement allocation. Requests for guest
ticketing for these events can be submitted from six
weeks prior to the nominated event until 12 noon
on the Thursday before the event. Confirmation
of ticketing will commence two weeks prior to
each event.
Guest tickets will not be available for high-demand
games / events as nominated in your Member pack.
In the event that a ticket is lost or stolen, the Member
should notify the Diamond Club as soon as possible.
A $20.00 replacement fee applies for replacement
event tickets regardless of the number of tickets.
Members are asked to notify the Diamond Club Manager
via email prior to the commencement of an event and
no later than 12 noon on Thursdays for Friday night
events. This will enable replacement tickets to be issued.
For tickets lost on a match day, please contact the
Diamond Club on 0457 715 556 and the Diamond Club
Concierge will be able to provide assistance. To prevent
unauthorised entry to the venue, barcodes of tickets
reported lost or misplaced will be retired.

FOOD &
BEVERAGE
DINING
As part of your Diamond Club Membership, food and
selected beverages are provided at each event. Members
and guests will enjoy a premium menu specially created
by our Chef de Cuisine.
The Diamond Club kitchen ensures that your meals are
always excellently presented. Our daily menus include
entree, a choice of main courses and side dishes plus
dessert and cheese. Using fresh regional produce, our
menus will change according to the season.
We accommodate special dietary requirements.
Please notify us of any special requirements at least
48 hours before your reservation time.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
Beverages
All Diamond Club selection wines plus a range of beers,
soft drinks, tea and coffee are complimentary when
attending any of the events included in your Membership
entitlement. In addition to this selection we also provide
Members with the opportunity to purchase additional
beverages from our extensive list of premium spirits and
Diamond Club cellar wine list.
Your Diamond Club Sommelier will be happy to
recommend wines and assist you with your selection.
The Diamond Club Charge Card
Another important inclusion of your Membership is the
Diamond Club charge card. The annual levy of $1000 is
provided for each Membership and allows you to charge
your additional beverages to your account. This card can
be topped up as needed.

USE OF THE DIAMOND CLUB
ON NON-EVENT DAYS
The Diamond Club is an exclusive venue space for
meetings, lunches or cocktail parties. We encourage
all Diamond Club Members to use the Club on
non-event days. Please contact the Diamond Club
Manager in the first instance and our Etihad Stadium
Functions Department will assist you with your planning.
FUNCTION
ENQUIRIES
Demand can be high so we encourage you to book
early to avoid disappointment. A minimum of seven
days’ notice is required so that catering and service
staff can be adequately prepared.
Members are eligible for complimentary venue hire of
the Diamond Club. Catering and ancillary costs apply.
Audio visual equipment is available for hire through
our communications partner. Car parking is available
at standard daily rates.

ETIHAD STADIUM FUNCTION SPACES
In addition to the Diamond Club, a variety of function
spaces are available for use at Etihad Stadium.
Just minutes from the CBD, Etihad Stadium’s multi-use
design provides a variety of potential for all function and
conference requirements. Etihad Stadium has 16 function
rooms, which can be adapted to create 23 individual
breakout rooms.
The stadium offers a range of functions and

NO SMOKING POLICY
ETIHAD STADIUM CODE OF CONDUCT
Etihad Stadium is a non-smoking venue. Should you wish
to smoke, please proceed to Level C and have your ticket
ready to be scanned out, as you make your way down to
Level 1 on to the external concourse. You will need to
scan your ticket again on re-entry.
Etihad Stadium is committed to creating a safe,
comfortable and enjoyable experience for all patrons.
VENUE RE-ENTRY
Should you or your guests need to leave the venue and
re-enter for any reason during the event, it is essential to
scan your ticket out upon exit. Please proceed down to
the Corporate Suite Level C and have your ticket ready.

POLICIES
Our staff will proactively support an environment free
from the following behaviours:

Smoking

Foul or abusive language
◊
Intoxication
◊
Fighting, taunting or threatening remarks or gestures
◊
Sitting in a location other than the patron’s ticketed seat
◊
Any other behaviour that could be dangerous to
yourself and/or others
Persons who engage in this type of behaviour will be
asked to leave the venue. Depending on the severity of
the behaviour this may incur suspension of Membership.
Members are responsible for the behaviour of their guests.
It is the Member’s responsibility to ensure that your guests
are aware of the Club’s policies and procedures.
Should you experience inappropriate behaviour please
advise your nearest Diamond Club Staff Member and
they will take appropriate action to address the issue.

ADDITIONAL
BENEFITS
MEDALLION AFL MEMBERSHIP
Each Diamond Club Member is entitled to two
transferable Medallion AFL Full Memberships (for the
MCG only). The Medallion AFL Membership card entitles
the holder entry to AFL games at the MCG, plus the
first three weeks of the finals when played at the MCG.
The Medallion AFL Membership also allows Members
to purchase discounted tickets to the AFL Reserve for
Test Match cricket, One-Day Internationals and 20/20
International cricket held at the MCG.

RESERVING TICKETS
All tickets for the MCG are sold via Ticketek. At the time
of printing, the AFL had not confirmed the 2016 on-sale
dates, guest ticket prices or bookings fees.
This information will be forwarded to Members via an
email bulletin and will be available on the Diamond Club
website as soon as details are confirmed.
There are four ways to purchase AFL Membership
tickets, subject to availability:

It is strongly advised that Members reserve seats in
advance to avoid disappointment, particularly for
matches where there is a high demand for reserved
seating. Alternatively, Members can go to Gate 6 on
event day and swipe to enter, subject to availability.
If the Members Reserve area is full, entry will be denied.
For further information regarding where you can sit in
the AFL Members Reserve at the MCG, please refer to
the 2016 AFL Membership.
At the time of printing, the only match at the MCG in
the 2016 AFL season that is classified as a ‘Reserved Seat
Ticket’ is the ANZAC Day match between Collingwood
and Essendon. All Members must have a pre-reserved
seat to enter the ground for this match, and no guest
passes will be available for purchase.

MCG GUEST PASSES
Lost or Stolen AFL Cards
Members can obtain four guest passes per card held, subject
to availability. The guest ticket price will be confirmed by the
AFL before the start of the 2016 AFL season.
In the event that a Member’s AFL card is lost or stolen, the
Member is required to complete an AFL lost Membership
card form, which can be obtained from your Diamond Club
Manager. A replacement fee of $20.00 per card applies.
Please allow a minimum of 48 hours for replacement.
Leaving Cards For Collection
If there are multiple games played at the MCG on one
weekend, you may wish to leave your card(s) for guests
to collect for another match that weekend.
To do this, the cards must be left in a clearly labelled
envelope at the AFL Members Information Booth at
Gate 6 no later than quarter time. After this time the
office will be closed.
AFL Cards at Etihad Stadium
The Medallion AFL Membership cards cannot be used
for entry into Etihad Stadium; they are exclusively for
MCG use.
The AFL Premiership Club
If the cards are not collected they will remain at this gate
until the following weekend when a game is played. They
cannot be collected during the week.
Diamond Club Members have access to the Premiership
Club at the MCG, subject to availability. This dining option
within the AFL Reserve of the MCG offers a food and
beverage package.
Grand Final Tickets
Booking Details
Diamond Club Members will receive two AFL Grand
Final tickets as part of each Membership. You will be
informed of all AFL Grand Final information in August.
Reservations open two weeks prior to the event and are
essential. For high-demand matches we encourage Members
to book early to avoid disappointment. Please visit the
Diamond Club website to download the booking policy and
form. Dining bookings do not include entry tickets. Please
purchase tickets with your AFL Membership Card.

MOONAH LINKS GOLF CLUB
The Diamond Club is proud of its association with
the Moonah Links Golf Club and its ability to provide
Members with access to this premier facility at special
rates. Moonah Links presents two spectacular courses,
the Open and Legends – providing facilities that are
now renowned throughout the world. Set within a 196
hectare development in the heart of the Mornington
Peninsula, Moonah Links has played host to the 2003
and 2005 Australian Championships. Moonah Links is
approximately a 90-minute drive from Melbourne.

Diamond Club Members have access to both the Open
and the Legends Courses. Please note that the primary
Member or Nominee must be in attendance on the day
of play. There are limited cards available to Members

BARNBOUGLE GOLF COURSES
The Diamond Club offers access to Australia’s number
one and two public golf courses, Barnbougle Dunes
and Barnbougle Lost Farm Links Golf Courses. Located
on the north east coast of Tasmania, Barnbougle has
gained a global reputation as a golfing destination.
Booking Details
Diamond Club Members have access to both the
Dunes and Lost Farm Golf Courses. Please note that
the primary Member or Nominee must be in attendance
on the day of play. There are limited places available to
Members so in order to manage the tee time allocation,
a strict booking policy applies. Please ask your Diamond
Club Manager for a booking policy and form. Please read
the terms and conditions carefully before submitting
your application.

CLUB MANDALAY
THE CHAIRMAN’S CLUB AT FLEMINGTON
The Diamond Club is proud to announce our new
golfing partnership with Club Mandalay. Situated in
Beveridge, just 40 minutes north of Melbourne CBD
or Etihad Stadium, this course opened in July 2015 and
was recently ranked number 56 in Australia’s Top 100
Golf Courses.
Diamond Club Members are entitled to enjoy access to
the exclusive Chairman’s Club at Flemington Racecourse.
Spacious lounges and dining facilities overlook
Flemington’s famous straight and winning post, while
views of Melbourne’s city skyline provide the perfect
backdrop for a day at the races. The Chairman’s Club
is a first-class experience for entertaining clients or
relaxing with friends and family.

Dress Code
The Victoria Racing Club enforces a strict dress code.
Patrons who are not appropriately attired will not be
permitted to the Members’ Enclosure or the Chairman’s

Club. Members are reminded of their responsibility
for ensuring the attire of guests introduced to the
Chairman’s Club and Members’ Reserve conform
to the standards required.

Bookings for the four days of the Melbourne Cup Carnival

The Medallion Club Box Office
Access to the Medallion Club Box Office presents
Members with a variety of sport and entertainment
experiences which can be enjoyed all year round.
The Diamond Club will place you ahead of the queue
with priority access to major events, concerts, theatre
and film releases. The ease of purchase will take the
stress out of securing tickets to your favourite events.
As each new event becomes available, Members will
be notified via email bulletins for booking dates and
procedures. Tickets are often available to Members
before public sale so you can truly enjoy the benefits.
Priority Purchase of Concert Tickets
As a valued Diamond Club Member, when available,
you will receive priority purchase notifications for
additional events held at Etihad Stadium.
The Diamond Club will advise how to access tickets
to exciting upcoming events, such as concerts, as they
are announced.
