Sandals Resorts is now thrilled to offer you a $500 Wedding Credit**, $500 in Bonus Credit plus a $500
Amoro for Sandals Jewelry Credit to use towards your WeddingMoon®.
*The $1,500 WeddingMoons® Credit promotion is applicable only for new WeddingMoons® of 6 paid nights or longer in all room categories booked between
September 1, 2014 until further notice for travel September 1, 2014 through December 31, 2016 (no blackout dates). **For the $500 Wedding Credit, eligible

Jamaican Wedding Documentation & Requirements
In order to be legally married in Jamaica, there is documentation required as well as government requirements in their
country. Please read over these items carefully and advise us of any questions you may have.


















Residency requirement - 48 hours (including arrival and weekends)
State/County issued Certified Copy of birth certificate (typed versions required. Certified Copies can be obtained from local
registry office)
All pages of all court certified final divorce decrees. Divorce Decrees MUST have the following written: “Final Decree”,
“Decree Absolute”, “Final Judgment” or “Dissolution of Marriage” with visible court stamp/seal (if applicable)
State issued death certificates with related marriage certificates (if applicable)
Legal name change or legal adoption documents (if applicable)
Passports will not be accepted in lieu of birth certificate
Please send via courier service NOTARISED PHOTOCOPIES/CERTIFIED COPIES (with the valid notary public’s or solicitor’s
original INK signature & stamp) of the required documents for both the bride and groom at least 60 DAYS prior to the arrival
date for ALL islands.
An original notarized sworn affidavit referring to documents specifically may also be provided to accompany photocopy of
document
Original/Certified documents are also accepted however, documents will not be returned
A legal translator must translate all documents in a foreign language to English (including stamps/seals). Both Notarised
versions must be submitted.
All Documents for both bride & groom must be submitted with a completed Wedding Information Form.
All required documents are due 60 days prior to travel for ALL islands.
A late fee of US$150 will apply for all documents received within 21 days prior to the arrival date
Wedding and ReTie the Knot dates and times vary and are subject to public holidays and availability. Couples will only be
married at the resort in which they are booked.
Additional fees apply for Catholic and Jewish wedding ceremonies.
Setup/surcharges for additional guests above six apply and may vary by resort.
Couples must notify the Wedding Department at 0800 022 3331 / +44 (0) 207 581-9895 (UK Wedding Department) or +1 800
327-1991, option 4, ext. 4006 (Jamaica Wedding Department) of number of guests attending the wedding at least 30 days
prior to the arrival date.
Day passes apply for guests not staying at Sandals or Beaches. Please contact the Wedding Department for pricing

Each Wedding Photography Partner offers a different style, from Journalistic to Artistic, Contemporary and Traditional – after all, it’s You
Wedding. Your Style. Your wedding photography session will include four (4) consecutive hours, and if you’d like more time, you can purchase
additional hours.
By choosing a Wedding Photography Partner, you will have the opportunity to communicate directly with your photographer before you
arrive at the resort, and establish a relationship before your big day!

Vintage
The Vintage package is edited in an
artistic way and incorporates old
Jamaican and Caribbean music and is
also edited in chronological order
but is portraying a more nostalgic
view of the Caribbean.
Contemporary
This is a modern form of a wedding
video with little audio. Only key audio is
being used as well as key background
noise. The video is edited according to
the music that was selected by the
bride and groom. It is edited along the
lines of a “music video” style.

All private functions may be held in select areas at the resort. In the case of inclement weather, functions will be moved to an
indoor location. All private functions must be booked and paid for at least 45 days prior to the wedding date to ensure availability.
Guaranteed guest count for your wedding is due 72- hours prior to the event and refunds are not issued on no-shows or
cancellations. All prices are in US Dollars and are subject to change without notice. Day pass is required for all non-resort guests

What are the wedding sites on property?
Most of our resorts offer a beach, a garden and a gazebo location. The location is chosen at the time of your on-resort
consultation. Visit our website www.sandals.co.uk/weddingmoons to view samples of our wedding locations.
What flavours are available for the wedding cake?
You have a choice of vanilla, chocolate, Caribbean fruit or Red Velvet.
When will I receive my marriage certificate?
Your marriage certificate will be sent via air courier 6-8 weeks after your wedding. For European and non-UK guests, this process
may take additional time in order for further legalisation processes to be made via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
What is the best way to travel with a wedding dress?
Any arrangement for transportation of a wedding dress should be discussed directly with your airline carrier.
Is there Tuxedo rental available in the island?
Unfortunately, we do not offer tuxedo rentals on resort; however some resorts have contact information for local formalwear
providers (varies by island). Keep in mind, due to the Caribbean climates, you may want to consider a light weight alternative for
the groom.
Can I hire local vendors such as photographers, caterers and décor providers for my wedding?
The use of third party vendors for photography or other services that are offered by Sandals is strictly prohibited.
Who will assist me with my wedding once I arrive?
The Resort Wedding Team will be anxious to meet you and will be instrumental in making your dream day a reality.
When do I finalise my wedding details?
Details should be finalised 60 days prior to arrival; your Wedding Planner will guide you through this process.
Is my wedding legal in the country where I reside?
Yes, the marriage is a legally binding marriage. You should inquire with your local government regarding name change
procedures, etc. For Europeans and guests outside of the UK, further legalisation may be required for the marriage certificate in
order for it to be legally recognised by your country. This must be requested via the wedding team, and Sandals & Beaches will
absorb the cost of this for the first marriage certificate (i.e. apostille/legalisation of marriage certificate only). Non UK couples
should check full requirements (additional documentation and processes) for legalisation prior to travel via their Town Hall
Registry and Embassy.
Can I get married at a different resort than where I am staying?
No, you must get married at the resort where you are staying.
Is there a fee for the use of a personal wedding planner?
No, at Sandals Resorts, every bride and groom have their own personal pre-wedding and resort wedding planners as part of the
complimentary WeddingMoon® inclusions.
What are the different types of ceremonies I can choose from for my wedding?
A non-denominational marriage officiant customarily presides over our wedding ceremonies, but if you wish to inquire about
having a non-religious ceremony or a religious ceremony, please talk to your wedding planner.
Are there any special inclusions for weddings with a group of rooms?
Sandals offer a number of exclusive inclusions for Wedding parties that have 5 rooms or more. Please contact our Groups
department at +44 (0) 207 590-0228 (UK) to get more information.
Can I bring down my own wedding décor items and favours?
We would not recommend this as there are custom laws that will require you to pay taxes and duties on these items or they might
be confiscated if they are deemed as commercial items. If you decide to take items down with you please note that there is an
applicable set up fee. Please speak with your wedding planner for full details.
Are medical/or blood test required to get married?
No, the island of Jamaica DOES NOT require a medical or blood test.
