OUTDOOR TEXAS CAMPS
The eight year history, and the future of Outdoor Texas Camps has been, and will continue to be dedicated to the belief that
understanding and enjoying the great outdoors is a very important part of every person’s life. The Outdoor Texas formula
includes (1) the best location and facilities available for each camp, (2) a complete and detailed course of study on each subject
taught, and (3) an experienced staff of Texas professionals to ensure success. Safety, learning, and fun are the goals of each
Outdoor Texas Camp.
Most Texas summer camps strive to become larger and larger, with many camps hosting hundreds if not thousands of campers
each summer. Outdoor Texas has a very different plan. Outdoor Texas’ goals are safety, fun, and learning, and Outdoor Texas
strongly believes that these goals are far more achievable with a small number of campers per camp. Outdoor Texas Camps
have between 12 and 24 campers per week. These small numbers have the following benefits; 1) personal attention and
safety are maximized, 2) one on one instructional time is greatly increased, 3) a family environment is generated - ensuring fun
and new relationships. Outdoor Texas is proud to offer the most unique camp experience available in Texas.
CAMP CURRICULUM All of the subjects and activities that are
a part of the Outdoor Texas Camps are researched, detailed, and
executed in the most professional manner possible. The great
outdoors of Texas and all of the hunting and fishing opportunities
that exist within the state provides an endless teaching potential for
the Outdoor Texas Camps. The camp activities are all designed to
maintain and achieve the goal of safety, learning, and fun.
CAMP INSTRUCTORS All Outdoor Texas Camp instructors
are selected based on (1) their knowledge of the subject, (2) their
field experience, and (3) their ability to communicate with the
campers in a positive manner. The Outdoor Texas staff is no doubt
the Best of the Best.
CAMP LOCATION The Outdoor Texas Camp locations are
selected on the basis that each represents the best possible camp
site in keeping with the Outdoor Texas goals of safety, learning, and
fun. Each camp site is dedicated to the subject and the activities of
that particular camp.
FLY FISHING CAMP The Home Martin Ranch with three
miles of the Llano River is the perfect location for this fly
fishing camp. The shallow waters and the deep pools
hold an abundance of aggressive bass and pan fish.
HUNTING CAMPS I and II The Triple 777 Ranch, one
hour west of San Antonio, near Hondo, Texas, has been a
legendary Texas hunting ranch for over 40 years. This
8,000 acre ranch is home to monster whitetails plus 60
species of exotic breeds. These exotics number over
3,000 animals. The Triple 777 provides an unbelievable
site for the 2013 Outdoor Texas Hunting Camps I and II.
ARCHERY/HUNTING CAMPS I and II The Outdoor Texas
Archery/Hunting Camps are also located at the Homer
Martin Ranch just outside Mason, Texas. This 2,500 acres
is an archery only hunting ranch. The facilities and the
ranch layout are perfect for archery and bowhunting
activities. The Llano River also offers a great camp activity.
DEER CAMP The Perlitz Ranch in south Texas has it all providing a great learning facility that is a real favorite
among the campers. The ongoing breeding, management, and hunting operations put each camper in the
middle of the best of what Texas has to offer in the whitetail world.
FISHING CAMP The South Shore Park and the 1,000
acre Lake Bastrop gives the Outdoor Texas Fishing Camp
the opportunity to utilize professional bass guides,
pontoon boats, kayaks, and canoes to teach a wide range
of bass fishing techniques to each camper. Located near
Bastrop, Texas this facility and this great lake takes the

OUTDOOR TEXAS FLY FISHING CAMP
The Homer Martin Ranch
June 2-8, 2013
This camp is dedicated to teaching the campers the art of fly fishing and all that goes with
that. The camp has been a great success in creating devoted young fly fishers that have
continued to grow their personal skills and enjoyment of the world of fly fishing. The camp
location, curriculum, and staff are perfectly suited to achieve the goals of the camp. The
small number of campers (12) ensures maximum personal instruction which has a lot to do
with the success of the camp. Camp director Kevin Hutchison, owner of Hill Country Fly

MIKE HASTINGS
Mike operates Git Bit Guide
Service and has been a part of
Outdoor Texas Camps for seven
years. Mike’s desire to teach, his
knowledge and his experience
has made him a very valuable
asset to the Outdoor Texas
Fishing Camps. For eighteen
years Mike and his clients have
fished the central Texas lakes of
Travis, Bastrop, and Fayette
County. The Outdoor Texas
Campers are now benefitting
from this wealth of experience.
BO BERRY
Bo has been a professional
fishing guide, focusing on Lakes
Bastrop and Fayette County, for
the past seven years. His Hawg

big hit with the campers - he is
truly a favorite of the campers.
