Tampere Film Festival heading east! Alongside the International, Finnish and LAB1O competitions the Tampere Film Festival goes on an extensive East tour in March. The first stop is right next-door at Russia, then the ride swings by Middle East, and finally the journey takes us to the Far East to marvel at the glow of Korean gems. The Palestine and Neighbours program features five screenings of recent short films, which highlight the extremely sensitive political situation in Palestine, with special eciial al focus on women filmmakers such as Alia Arasoughly and Najwa ajw jwa jwa Najjar. Majority of these films is made by Palestinians, but the neighbouring countries get their say as well. South Korean short filmmaking is inspected in four screenings within an entity named Korean Glow.
