The 2010-2011 school year was a transformational time in the history of our schools.
We expanded our team of professional teachers, updated our equipment, and opened
up a full range of courses accredited through the European Federation of Schools in
order to give students full access to the job market.
We are proud of the successes of our students, notably those who undertook our Art
Foundation courses, which allowed them to enter the major art schools in France. This
course has also been recognized by the country’s top employers.
We have also taken this opportunity to showcase the work of our students in this
brochure.
Recognizing the success of our new networking site dedicated to helping our students
find internships and jobs, more than 200 jobs have now been posted on the site
( HYPERLINK «http://www.reseau-studio-m-hej.com» www.reseau-studio-m-hej.com). For
the 2011-2012 school year, Studio M offers two new courses for students at Montpellier
and Marseille. These are: ‘Painter / Interior Decorator’ and ‘2D Illustrator / Cartoonist’
degrees in response to a big demand on the job market for young professionals with
these qualifications.
In all our schools (Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse, Montpellier, Casablanca and Ho Chi Minh
City) this past year, we have made a big effort to provide students with a range of 3D
courses including a Bachelor of Arts in 3D taught by profesionnaly accredited teachers
along with the latest equipment available.
Studio M will soon be celebrating its 25th Anniversary and is now more than ever, a
leading education establishment teaching arts, audiovisual and photography courses.
I am at your disposal and welcome your feedback. You can take a renezvous with our
teaching staff on HYPERLINK «http://www.studiomacademy.com» www.studiomacademy.

The Studio M network
The Studio M Network website (HYPERLINK «http://www.reseau-studio-m-hej.com» www.reseaustudio-m-hej.com) has been put in place with one main objective:
to help our students obtain professional employment.
On this site, all our students, past or present, can access their own page where they can present
their Curriculum Vitae
online together with examples of their work, their address and telephone number. They can
communicate between
one another or in groups, sharing their experiences, and above all access job offers or training
propositions offered by
companies. Likewise, businesses can access candidate’s profiles. In the past few months, our
partners have posted over 200 offers on the site.

cartoons in children’s novels, titles, credits and other figure drawing work to create visual stories.

Product design requires creativity and innovation but also an eye for subtle detail. Design is found all
around us in many different disguises; lighting, kitchen utensils, luxury products, leather goods, packaging,
bottling, decoration and so on. The designer helps people express themselves through objects, and
creates identities, whilst optimizing production costs to make the best result.

Improving our surroundings…
Designers of volumes or of objects, interior designers have to be both creative, and technically
competent. They need to be rigorous, curious, culturally aware, and have a good grasp of three
dimensional spaces. They work in fields as diverse as living spaces, leisure activities, public areas, urban
settings, industrial or theatrical contexts, and their subjects may be fixed or ephemeral. They have to
work to the specification of the customer’s needs and be able to work as part of a team.

The editor is a key master of all visual and sound elements for video productions. He/she will cut, move,
paste, and build the narrative of a story, a program or presentation in a way that evokes strong emotion
and shows visual spleandor. Editors are the most important element of a production after it has been

However, this role is extremely varied depending on the size of production, and can involve financing,

Radio Host
Certificate of qualified training
Duration : 1 year | Entry level all levels | Number of hours 550 in the
year | Internship : 6 weeks minimum during the year
Get your dreams out on the air-waves...
The radio host needs to be creative and reactive. He’s got a musical ear, and likes contact with others,
but he/she also knows how to connect with audiences, and conjure new ideas that can be produced.
These ideas can conceive programming, which can be recorded or produced live. He/she has to
understand all the different writing styles for radio, plus techniques relating to sound and to music. The
radio host is comfortable with written work and with improvisation, and understands the use of sound
and music as a means of ‘illustration’ in the mind of the listener.
With the explosion of Internet and FM radio, the radio host has become a vital human ‘component’ for
stations, production studios and sound agencies that work in the radio industry.

of music • English • Understanding the contemporary world • Humanities • Political science

The certificate is awarded at the end of the course by a jury made up of professionals.
A media unrestricted by any boundaries,
radio is about movement,
and its only channel is the voice.

TOEIC
62
Preparing you for a European or a world-wide career: STUDIO M can help you prepare
for this Diploma.Recognised world-wide by companies everywhere, the TOEIC (Test of
English for International Communication) enables every student to judge their level of
English. It enables students to give a better idea to prospective employers of their
language level, and it also helps students further their studies elsewhere in Europe
or across the globe. Relevant lessons will be organised by a qualified teacher. The
exam will take place in our schools thanks to our partnership agreements with foreign
countries and with the EEC. The TOEIC costs 80 euros, including the cost of lessons
and the exam fees. Some students with good English won’t need to attend lessons
and they will only pay the exam fees. To get better results, it is preferable to choose
the TOEIC option in the 2nd year. The TOEIC test evaluates the English of non-English
speakers helping them to communicate in English within professional and international
environments.
