Launch Literacy Pro
Students click on the
Literacy Pro icon to
launch it.
Student’s Home Page
After migration, the first
time a student opens
Literacy Pro on the
Student’s Home Page it
shows the most recent
Lexile measure from the
migrated data.
It also shows interest
categories.
My Results
The Student My
Results page
summarises the
student’s current
Lexile and past quiz
results.
This migrated data also
lists quizzes done in
mylexile.com.au by
title.
Recommended Reading List
Students may create a
Reading List based on
their interests from their
Home Page.
Recommended Reading List – Blurb View
The Reading List provides
students with a list of
titles from their selected
interests – in their Lexile
range.
This is the Blurb View. It
shows Lexile, word count,
book blurb, the interests
the book is classified
under and a link to
available quizzes.
Narrow search – list view
Students may narrow
their results on the
Search page.
This search is identifying
only titles, with quizzes,
in the student’s Lexile
range and in the school
library.
It is shown in the List
View.
Search by title
Students may select to do
a quiz from their Reading
List, or use the Search
page.
It is recommended
students type an exact
word into the search.
Book Quiz
Students are able to take
the multiple-choice Book
Quiz.
Once they’ve started the
quiz, they must finish it
to get an accurate score.
Book Quiz
There are 10
multiple choice
items in each Book
Quiz.
If students do not
pass the quiz, they
may take it again.
The time between
quiz attempts is
determined by the
Administrator’s or
Teacher’s Settings.
Student Quiz result, rating and comment
At the end of the quiz,
students are shown their
score, and asked to rate
and comment on the
book.
Student - My Results
As students take quizzes
in Literacy Pro, their My
Results page updates.
LitPro Test
When students take
the LitPro Test, they
are given clear
instructions.
Pop-ups must be
allowed for students
to take the LitPro
Test.
LitPro Practice Test
The default is set so
that students will take
a Practice Test before
they start the LitPro
Test to familiarise
them with the test
environment.
The questions are at a
lower level than the
student’s current
Lexile.
They are warned
when the practice test
is over.
LitPro Test
For Migrating
Students, the
LitPro Test will
start on an item at
a similar Lexile to
the student’s
current Lexile.
LitPro Test
After students take
the Lit Pro test, it
updates their Lexile
in My Results.
The LitPro Test
page is then made
inactive, until the
next due date. This
is based on the
Administrator’s or
Teacher’s Settings.
Class Teacher’s Home Page
At the time of
migration of data from
mylexile to Literacy Pro
the Teacher’s Home
Page shows no class
level metrics.
Teacher’s Home Page
As students start to take
Literacy Pro tests and
quizzes, the Teacher’s
Home Page will gradually
report metrics.
This example is based on
one student in Test Class
3 doing the test and two
quizzes so far.
The first student needs to
pass at least 3 quizzes for
the data to start to
refresh.
Teacher’s Home Page
As more students take
the test and do quizzes,
more data reports for this
class.
Reports
As Literacy Pro data
builds up, it is made
available through the
Teacher’s Reports Page.
NOTE: Expected Growth Report
The Expected Lexile
Growth Report is
calculated from the First
Lexile of the Year in
Literacy Pro.
For schools who migrate
data mid-year, Literacy
Pro will assume that the
first Lit Pro Test taken in
the “First Test of the
Year”. In this instance, the
Expected End-of-Year
Lexile in this report will
be skewed, as students
will have less than a full
school year to
demonstrate the
expected growth.
