WEB’S
COMMUNITY
INVOLVEMENT CONTINUES…
This month is our deadline for our
Christmas Family Program items.
Ashley Benage of Graybar Electric
volunteered to coordinate our Christmas
Family Program. She has selected “The
Little Bit Foundation”.
We have included the “wish list” and
background of this organization in the
October & November notices, sent it via
email and also handed out at the October
meeting so you could begin shopping
early for these items.
As we do each year, we have invited the
sponsored charity to our November
meeting to tell us more about their
wonderful organization. We know you will
enjoy hearing all about the Little Bit
Foundation and the tremendous work they
are doing.
Once again, we encourage all WEB
members to give generously for this
organization.
They will
provide
information on their history, programs and
services and how the community can help
these children.
Even if you can’t attend the meeting, but
wish to donate items, you can drop them
off at EBMI office.
We hope you will join us (and invite a
guest) for this month’s meeting to learn
about “The Little Bit Foundation”. Please
scan/email the attached reservation form
prior to THURSDAY, November 12th
or email [email protected].

items at this month’s meeting.

SAY THANKS TO
A VETERAN
On November 11,
2015
We
all
have
busy
schedules and it’s not always easy, but
please take time on Veterans Day to
thank a veteran!!
This past weekend, I was fortunate enough to
help at a barbecue at the VA Medical Center,
along with Frank Jones, Chris Burgoyne and Jan
Olliges from the industry, as part of the
Hibernians group.
It was an honor to talk with
the veterans as we wheeled them down to the
gym for a meal or serving them as they came
through the line. They are so appreciative of the
gratitude they received from others as we all
thanked them for their service.
Here are a few ways for YOU to
make it a special one for our
veterans
and
show
your
appreciation on Veterans Day,
November 11th (or anytime)!
*Organize a morning get together with
coffee, juice or donuts and hang a sign of
thanks for the veterans in your office;
*Send an email thanking the veterans in
your workplace and the vets who are family
members of a fellow employee;
*Send a card to a veteran thanking them for
their many sacrifices on our behalf. (It
doesn’t have to be someone at work -–
send it to a grandparent, parent or friend
who has served and make their day OR
send some cards to VA Medical Center (c/o
James Buchanan, VA Medical Center,
Voluntary Service 135, 1 Jefferson Barracks
Drive, 63125) and ask them to pass them
out to the veterans or send to the USO!
These cards mean the world to them.)
Even most stores now have Veterans Day
cards to make it easy! Or better yet, have
your kids/grandkids make thank you cards
to send and help them to understand the
importance of our veterans.
*If you are out at lunch and see a military
person or veteran (wearing a hat that
signifies it), why not stop by and express
your appreciation to them for their many
years of service. Or better yet, pick up their
lunch tab as a nice surprise for them that
day!!
*Call a neighbor or relative…a “thinking of
you” call means the world to those who are
veterans, especially the older ones who
can’t get out as much and feel more
forgotten.”

CHRISTMAS
PROGRAM …..

PLEASE MAKE A
NOTE OF THE
DATE ON YOUR
CALENDARS
Directions for Rigazzi’s on the
Hill: (Or use mapquest from your location)
Take
Highway
40
or
44
to
Kingshighway.
Go south onto
Kingshighway to Shaw. For those coming
off Hwy 44 Eastbound, you will make a
right onto Kingshighway and an immediate
right on Shaw. (You can’t go any farther
as the bridge is closed, so you must go to
the right. (O’Connell’s is on your left at this
point.) Go one block to stop sign and
make left onto Boardman (there are big
signs directing you to go left for Rigazzis at
this point.) Parking lot is on left or use
street parking as needed. They have 22
parking spaces in lot and street parking will
need to be utilized by most attendees.
Rigazzi’s is next to an industrial plant so
parking is available around the restaurant
area.
Please indicate to host that you are in
banquet room. Or go through first room
and in 2nd room, the door to banquet is in
far corner.
Safety … during the holidays…
THANKSGIVING brings us thoughts of
getting full of turkey and watching
football. But for many, Thanksgiving
brings the thought of the day
after…Black Friday Shopping.
Please make sure that when you go
shopping, you keep all items OUT OF
SIGHT in your car. While you are
shopping inside, others are shopping
outside…in the parking lots! The trunk is
the best place to keep ALL valuables.
Make sure all doors are locked. (Sounds
simple, but when you are in a hurry, you
sometimes forget and this allows things
to get stolen easily.) Don’t be an easy
target…if they can’t see anything inside
your car and it’s locked, criminals will
move onto the next car.

TUESDAY
DECEMBER 8th
(2ND WEDNESDAY in December
this year)
The members at Sachs Electric are busy
preparing for this year’s Christmas Party.
Barb McCollum announced at the October
meeting that they are having an Ugly
Christmas Sweater Contest, so dust off
those old Christmas sweaters you may
have and plan to wear to the WEB
Christmas Party.
They are also having a Christmas “sock” gift
exchange. You can purchase Christmas
socks at the dollar store and fill them with
nail polish, candy, candles, ornament or
whatever else you
want and tie them
together with a
ribbon or bow!
Keep your costs to
about $10 or so.
You won’t want to miss celebrating the
Christmas season with your friends in
WEB!! More details will be provided later.
We extend a warm welcome to

IN MEMORIAM…
Dolly Anders of FletcherReinhardt Co., whose son, Jeffrey
passed away on September 29th.
We are keeping her family in our
thoughts and prayers.
Special Thanks to…
VOLUNTEERING… AT THE
PARK
AVENUE
RONALD
MCDONALD HOUSE.
A special thanks to these WEB
members who gave up time on a busy
Saturday to help bring food for the
families at the Ronald McDonald
House.
Jen Hermen (and Maebry), Charlene
Wingerter (and grandson Nicholas),
Annie Regan, Chris Phillips, Jan Olliges
and Jeri McCormick.
In addition, (not
shown in picture) were Kerry Regan,
Rhodia Sleet and Carol Yochim, who
also provided items, but could not
attend. WEB helped to provide a great
breakfast to start the day off right for the
Ronald McDonald Families.
We missed a few “regulars” at this
breakfast and extend congratulations to
Kristen
and
David
Bradley
(daughter/son-in-law) of Rose Luedde.
They welcomed a new arrival, David
Allen Bradley, Jr. on that Saturday.
Normally Kristen, David, daughter
Sophia and Rose all help cook at the
WEB RMH family programs.
The families really enjoyed all of the
breakfast foods, so thank you all for
your generous food/drink donations on
th
Saturday, October 10 . We know we
were missing some of our “regulars” for
RMH, but we hope to have a larger group
for our barbecue in the summer.
If you haven’t attended at the RMH
before, make plans to join us during the
summer. It’s a lot of fun to cook and
visit with other WEB members. But
more importantly, when you visit there,
all of your troubles seem to fade away
and you realize how much a simple meal
that WEB provides can mean to these
families.
Carol Bourbon of Schaeffer Electric for
coordinating the October meeting. She
and her daughter‐in‐law, Sherri Rawe,
put a lot of time and effort into this
networking meeting. It afforded all
members another opportunity to meet
some newer members of WEB and test
their trivia skills as well!!
Dominie Sabatino‐Donat of Frost
Supply and her mom, Rena Sabatino
for hosting the jewelry fundraiser.
They spent a lot of time bringing some
beautiful jewelry to our October
meeting. At the end of the night, WEB
was given $390 for our half of the
proceeds. WEB Bosses Nite Fund will
gain $190 and The Little Bit Foundation
will be given a check for $200 at next
month’s meeting. What a great way to
help out two great causes of WEB this
year. Thanks to all members who
purchased items as well to make this a
success.
Annette Lehnbeuter and Debbie
Conley of Frost Supply for helping with
hospitality duties.
