Poll Results
The recent survey, which
was conducted among our
students, showed that more
often they spend their free
time outside their houses.
When students stay at home
they usually watch TV or use
their computers. Girls prefer
watching TV but boys would
rather use computers.
More than 70% of the teenagers listen to music in their
spare time. Less students
read or tidy their houses and
they are usually girls. Boys often tinker around with cars.
When they are outside they
usually meet friends: girls
70%, boys 50%. Definitely
they prefer meeting friends to
spending time with their families. Boys usually play football
or computer games, ride a
bike or just roam the city centre. To sum up, the most
popular hobbies are music,
dance, theatre, sport, computers and cars. Some of
them are presented below.

Music is my life
My name is Olek. I am a student of a music school. I
play the accordion, I chose it because I love its sound. I
practice every day for about two hours, this
is my favorite thing but it is also a big effort. In my free
time I listen to classical music. My favorite band is
motion Trio. I like playing football and swimming.

My name is Natalia and I am fourteen years old. When
I was nine my parents enrolled me to the Music School
in Kielce. I started playing the cello and I am very
happy. I have three or four lessons a week. I have to
practice a lot but I like it. I study in two schools, but I
also have time for myself. I often swim, ride a bike and
meet friends. I listen to rock and classical music. My
favorite band is Hurts. I like playing the cello, because
it is an amazing instrument. I can develop my skills
and show them to other

people.
Hello! I am Klara Kraj. I go to class 2 „a” and I am also a student of Class 1 and 2
of L. Rożycki Secondary Music School in Kielce. I play the piano and it is what I
love. I have to practice every day, which is not very easy. I go to Kielce every day
and I have 4 -5 lessons a day. It is not easy to learn for so many lessons a day
but I do my best. I love having music workshops with the teachers from Music
Academies. I have played two concerts with our local philharmonic orchestra. I
am really happy when I could take part in some
International Piano Competitions. Then I can exchange experience with other students from
Europe or Asia I have been successful at four of
them. Chopin is my favourite composer. I also like
singing but lately I haven’t much time to sing. I
like listening to classical music. I play the guitar a
little too. Reading books about composers is what
I really like doing in my free time.

Sport
Sport is one of the most important parts of young people’s lives. It gives them a
lot of fun. Through participation in sport they learn about teamwork or
adherence to rules. Moreover it keeps them active, fit as well being healthy.
With the support of the Director and physical education teachers, youth from
Gimnazjum in Daleszyce have the opportunity to develop their sporting talents.
Developing their interests in sports led the representation of girls from our
school to achieve the second place in a volleyball competition at the provincial
level. Our sports stars reached the provincial level in athletics and they were
ranked on the podium. Student Diana Łukawska proved that she is invincible.
She won twice. Diana was ranked first in sprints of 100 and 300m. A silver
medal was awarded to Adrian Bysiak for run the 300 meters hurdle race. On
the podium also stepped Joanna Janic, who took first place in the discus and
third in the hammer. At the International New Year’s Eve Cross-country Run,
Wiktor Wołowiec faced competitors from Europe and took third place. In our
school, students declare the biggest interest in football. Intensive training
consistently makes them successful. The Boys team took first place in the
county football competitions. Two of our players distinguished themselves: Wiktor Wołowiec and Adrian Bysiak. Our goal was bravely defended by the
goalkeeper Rafał Cygan. The girls have achieved even greater success. They
won third place in the National Football
Tournament. Ewa Cieśla and Dominika
Sierpińska contributed most of all to the
victory. Students' achievements are
mainly caused by their hard work. They
devote themselves and their time to the
sport. Despite many bruises, scratches
and injuries, they still seek to improve
their skills.

Our hobby is horse riding. We love horses. They are very
beautiful and smart animals. We have been riding a
horse for 4 years. We participate in the competitions.
Every day we spend 6 hours with our horses. Their
names are: Feniks, Ikar-Lateran, Benito, Tewa, Harpun
and Sekretna. We have to care about them.We like riding
a horse through the forest. We enjoy nature. Thanks to
our hobby we learn persistence and we are in a good fit.
We are attached to our horses very much.

Dancing
My name is Zuza and I’m a b-girl! (B-girl – girl who dances break dance). I’m 16
years old. I’m in love with bboying (bboying = break dance). I practice 5 times a
week, besides I go to the swimming pool ones a week, jog every morning and go
to the gym every Thursday – this activities let me keep my fit in good level. At the
beginning everyone learn top rock, footwork and drops. When you master the
basic movements, you can learn more difficult elements. Break Dance is one of
the way to express yourself, For sure
it’s the hardest and the most beautiful
style. Breakin, as the only one demands freestyle, it doesn’t rely upon
the repeated schemes. It’s one of the
most spectacular forms of a dance.
This is my world.
