at the Music Score
We’d like to wish all our fathers, including our new daddy Gil Flores, a Happy Father’s Day on the 16 th and
a proud salute to our Nations symbol of freedom on Flag Day the 14th.
We’d like to congratulate May’s Student of the Month: Derin Yetil. Derin has been a Student of Sinan
Bakir’s for over three years. Read more about Derin in our Student of the Month section.
The Music Score would also like to welcome back Don Petruzzi and Nate Day for another performance
this month. See our Final Friday section for more details.
Also our New Rock School has begun sign-ups and registration closes on June 22nd. Classes begin July
5th and culminating in a performance at the Final Friday Open Mic on August 30 hosted by

Derin was nominated by his Guitar
teacher, Sinan Bakir. Derin started with
Sinan over 3 years ago. Sinan mentions
that Derin has been progressing well.

Derin has performance experience,
interest in a variety of musical genres,
and is a member of his school’s jazz and
rock band. Derin will be opening at this
month’s Final Friday Open Mic, June
28th.
