Skip-A-Payment Request Form - United Consumers Credit Union
Banking is what you do, not where you do it Fall 2012 Banking The Credit Union Way As you prepare for a new year, you may also be thinking of ways to make 2013 the best yet. You’ll want to pay off old debts, get your finances in order, and maybe even start saving for a big project or getaway. That’s why United Consumers Credit Union offers the Skip-A-Payment Program!* With the UCCU Skip-A-Payment Program, you pay a processing fee of 10% of your payment or $50 (whichever is less), and put off your December or January payment without penalty! Don’t delay – the deadline for our December Skip-A-Payment is November 20, and the deadline for January Skip-A-Payment is December 20. Just fill out this convenient form, and turn it in before the request deadline to see if you qualify. Keep the money you would have spent on your payment(s) and give your budget a new start! Just think of all the things you could do with the extra cash; the possibilities are endless with the UCCU Skip-A-Payment Program! *Does not apply to mortgage/home equity loans, credit cards, share/CD secured loans or lines of credit. Account must be open for at least a six-month period with three straight months of on-time payments to qualify. Eligibility based on member credit and other factors. Skip-A-Payment fee must be paid 10 days prior to loan due date to allow time for processing. Regular payments will resume with your January or February 2013 payment. Interest will continue to accrue during the payment deferment period. Loan extensions such as Skip-A-Payment may affect the GAP insurance coverage and the payoff date on your vehicle. The Right Time To Refinance Interest rates have reached historic lows, and refinancing your loan could save you a lot of money. Unlike home loans – which can require appraisals and other closing costs – refinancing your vehicle loan is quick and easy. So how do you know if now is the right time? Check these guidelines: Compare rates. If interest rates have dropped more than a couple of points since you purchased your vehicle, you could save money by refinancing. Remember, even a percentage point or two can make a big difference in savings over the life of the loan. Review your credit score. Has your credit score improved since you financed your car, truck or SUV? You may now qualify for a lower interest rate. If you review your credit report and find a few negative items, clear them up with your creditors before you refinance to get the best deal. Check your budget. If you could benefit from lower monthly payments (and who couldn’t?), a longer term could free up funds in your budget. If you’d like to learn how refinancing your current vehicle loan from another lender would affect your rate and payments, contact UCCU today!
