Saturday March 29th is the scheduled sale date this year and it feels like the way things have been going this past month
it will be here sooner than we think. This has been one cold winter and, as I’m sure the rest of you are, I am ready for spring!! The cold has made it a challenge to calve and keep everything running. If you go back and read last year’s catalog you will
see this year is very much a repeat. There has been little to no rain to raise any crops or grass for the cattle plus Mother
Nature’s blast of cold this winter. If you like ears on your bulls you better not miss this year’s sale because next year there
will be a lot of them with little or no ears. The main reason I encourage you to make this year’s sale is the quality of the
bulls and heifers. In all my years of doing this I’ve never had such a difficult time making up the catalog and sale order. Most years there are two to five really top end bulls and this year that number, in my eyes, is 20 to 25!!! The group of heifers
is the most uniform we’ve ever sold. This year’s sale offering is the most maternally bred to sell and several bulls weaned
off at over 800#. If you are looking for cattle with more depth and volume this is the sale you don’t want to miss!!! It’s a great time to be in the cattle business with prices at record levels. With cow numbers being the lowest level since
the 1950’s, these prices will be good for many years to come. The $8.00 corn prices will not last forever. With all the land
taken out of pastures to raise that high dollar corn (it won’t be easy to get land put back to grass) in my opinion these excellent
cattle prices will last a lot longer. So as many of you know I always have some food for thought ideas…………… With
cull bull and cow prices as they are, it is time to upgrade your genetic gene pool to capture the most of those dollars in the
future. Several of you have texted me over the year about how your cattle have sold and most have talked about how
uniform your calves are. It makes me so glad for you and your families to have this happen for your operation. With all
these good reports, it takes me back to the first Amerifax calf crop to hit the ground in 1978. Over the years it has been my
focus to get you several traits that will make your operation profitable!! After 36 years, I feel we have one of the most
special Genetic Gene Pool in the USA. The calves come easy at birth with short gestation and the cows possess maternal
traits to calve on their own and wean off those big calves. The amount of depth and volume of the cows comes from strictly
utilizing only grass and other forages. One comment that keeps coming up is the fertility of the females and when guys
semen test your bulls the vets are amazed at how well they test out!! Use Dusty Prairie Ranch as your source to help make
your operation more profitable.
Last year was our first sale at the ranch and the amount of comments just keep coming. Several of you have never seen
the cow herd and were able to walk among the cows and see how much thickness and volume these cows have. The
disposition of these cows did not develop overnight and would not be the way it is without years of genetic selection. To
be able to look at so many Amerifax cattle at one place gives you the opportunity to see what 36 years has produced. Like
last year, we have several new herd sires producing genetics for you. DPR Justice 8141 and DPR Solution 9320 and DPR
Profitability H3140. If you are looking for some added growth, volume, size and capacity look close at the Justice cattle.
If you want to moderate your cows and add some extra maternal traits then use the Solution 9320 or the Profitability bull. Remember, if you need some help getting the best genetics into your operation just let me work with you!! One way for
that to happen is to take some time and come to the ranch before sale day and we can look through the bulls and heifers. This
one on one time is worth its weight in gold, and if that does not work for you, let’s spend some time on the phone and go
through the catalog!!! Join us on March 29th for an Amerifax day at the ranch. A good meal and great cattle, what more
can you ask for?? In case of bad weather, the sale date will be postponed to April 5th.

SALE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Terms: Terms of the sale are cash or check, payable immediately upon conclusion of the sale and before animals will be moved. Seller will reserve the
right to require a certified check as settlement before releasing any cattle.
Risk: All animals are the seller’s risk prior to their sale and become property of the purchaser as soon as declared sold by the auctioneer.
Bidding: All animals sell to the highest bidder. Any disputes or challenges regarding bids will be settled by the auctioneer, and his decision will be
final.
Health: All bulls have been tested and found negative for brucellosis. All females have been officially calfhood vaccinated. All animals are eligible for
interstate shipment; except as otherwise announced. The Veterinarian will assist buyers on health papers for specific states.
Announcements: Any changes from information of any kind in this catalog will be announced from the auction box and such announcements shall
take precedence.
Breeding Guarantee: Females: Cows represented as being “safe in calf” will have been examined and declared safe; they are considered bred without
further guarantee. Cows with calves at side shall be considered breeders also without further guarantee. Open heifers are guaranteed to be breeders.
NO guarantee shall apply to suckling calves. NO guarantee is given that bred females will deliver a live calf.
Bulls: Should any bull 14 months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported
in writing to the seller within six months following date of purchase, or six months after the bull has reached fourteen months of age. (See Options
and Privileges of Return or Adjustment.)
All animals are guaranteed to be breeders with the exception of: (a) Calves under twelve months of age. (b) Animals shown by purchaser after sale.
(c) Injury or disease occurring after sale. (d) Animals subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques. (e) Gross negligence or willful
misconduct on the part of the purchaser. (f) Artificial collection, preparation or storage of semen.
Options and Privileges of Return or Adjustment:
1. All claims for adjustment or refund must be made in writing within six months of sale date or no later than six months after the animal reaches 14
months of age.
2. Any animal that appears to be a non-breeder within six months after date of sale, if in healthy condition and complying with the health requirements
of the seller’s state, may be returned to the seller at the buyer’s expense. Seller will then reserve the right to prove the animal a breeder within a
six-month period. If successful, the seller will return the animal to the buyer at the buyer’s expense. Should the animal fail to prove a breeder, the
seller, at his option, may either return purchase price to buyer or replace the animal with another of equal value in full settlement and satisfaction of
all claims. In no event shall seller be responsible for more than the purchase price.
Accidents: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of the buyers and others attending the sale, neither Dusty Prairie
Ranch nor anyone associated with the sale, shall assume any responsibility in this matter and each disclaims any liability, legal or otherwise, in the
event of an accident or loss of property.
Contract: The above Sale Terms and Conditions shall constitute a contract between buyer and seller and be equally binding on both. Animals that are
resold following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not
covered by these Terms and Conditions.
