Model History
Siata Daina was built from 1951 and 1952 with 216 units. The sports car was available as a
coupé and roadster and was based on components from Fiat. The Daina based on a
shortened Fiat 1400 chassis. Under the hood sat either a Fiat engine with 1393 cc and 65 hp
(model "sport") or a 1500 cc Fiat engine with 76 HP (model "Gran Sport"). Some Daina were
delivered without engine, because customers own engines - would obstruct - especially
Chrysler and Crosley. Despite the short production period, Daina made ??some racing
success. The Siata Daina also started at Mille Miglia.
Description
Specials: Rare Barchetta, Mille Miglia eligible, original and unwelded
This Daina (B) has been delivered in 1952 to California and decommissioned in 1964. Since 2
years, the sports Barchetta is in current possession. In the recently completed restoration of
the non-welded body, the car was re-painted in the factory color.
The work was carried out to a high standard, with great care in maintaining the originality. The
Siata engine and transmission were also revised.
Farina created with this body a fantastic Barchetta. Rarity combined with Italian elegance. High
appreciation potential.
