Model History
In 1940 the German Army Weapons Department instructed the NSU-Werke AG in Neckarsulm
to develop an all-terrain towing vehicle for a small trailer or a small gun (2 cm or 3.7 cm FLAK
PAK). A few months later the first prototypes were finished. The engine in the middle of the
Kettenkrad is from the Opel Olympia and is able to pull a load of 450kg. With three seats and a
maximum speed of 70km/h the Kettenkrad today gets a street legal motorcycle registration.
Description
The small Kettenkrad NSU HK101 was built in 1944. For many decades, the Kettenkrad is
owned by a collector in Southern Germany. He had the HK101 restored 30 years ago. Since
then, the Kettenkrad was driven only for exercise and meetings – nevertheless it is in a nice,
running condition.
A street legal is currently not available.
Sale on consignment. VAT not applicable due to § 25A UStG. Prior sale and mistakes reserved.
