Step into an enchanted world of sprawling oaks, wrought iron balconies, hidden courtyards, eclectic
personalities, and southern charm.
Immerse yourself in a unique opportunity to tour the
crescent city with her many layers of history, grit and
moxie while honing your artistic skills sketching and
painting the sites, live and on location!
Capture those special memories in your sketchbook without hurry because
someone’s waiting, ready to move on to the next place. Time to sketch and
paint as well as enjoy the tour is built into each place we’ll visit.
Sketch and paint old world plantations, witness the
creation of frivolity at a warehouse dedicated to
building the floats and decorations of Mardi Gras,
and revel in the days of bygone glamour.
Make new friends and experience the fun of sketching
and painting with like-minded folks who understand just
why you have to sketch your meal before you can eat it!
Experience the pleasures of the southern table as we taste some of the very best in
French, Cajun and Creole cuisines at world-renowned restaurants in NOLA.
Live demonstrations and one-on-one feedback from artist, Laure Ferlita, will
help you to bring your artistic skills up to a new level.

“I’ve taken hundreds of photos,” says
Laure, “but it is the sketches, without
fail, that transport me back in time to the
place I was visiting! I can recall who I
was with, what I was wearing, the feelings,
the temperature, all the details!”
