Kansas City Ballet is becoming a national destination for dance. With a rich
history spanning nearly 60 years and acclaimed productions, the organization
is as committed to the art of dance as it is to the community it serves. KC Ballet
presents shows in the fall, winter and spring and the annual “Nutcracker” at

Mesner Puppets is a globally known professional puppet theatre company
based in Kansas City, Missouri. The professional non profit company has its
home season of five to ten productions and tours regionally, nationally, and
internationally. The KC-area season is performed at the Mesner Studio in the
Hyde Park neighborhood just south of Crown Center. Plays range from classic
fairly tales to award winning contemporary children’s stories. All puppets, sets
and costumes are designed and built by the talented team of artists under

One of 13 U.S. Presidential Libraries, the Harry S. Truman Library & Museum
features interactive exhibits on the life and times of Harry S. Truman and his
presidency. Visitors can also see a replica of the Oval Office with a recorded
message from Truman about the contents, view Truman’s working office, and pay

In November 2008, the kids got together and bought Mom a long-arm quilt
machine so she could machine quilt for the local community. Back then, we
had no idea that we had planted a seed that would grow so quickly. We opened
a little shop where Mom and us worked. We roped in our friends, then Dad,
in-laws, and... well now practically anyone who can use a rotary cutter in
Hamilton, Missouri is involved!
