the 36th Annual
Gourmet Festival of Fall on
Sunday, October 10, 2010
4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
On October 4, 2009, the 35th Annual Festival of Fall event was held at the
beautiful home of John and Diane Mullin in South Pasadena. Over 400
AbilityFirst friends and supporters enjoyed delicious samplings from 23
local restaurants, serving everything from decadent cuisine to scrumptious
pastries. Twelve wineries and breweries served an array of beverages picked
to tickle the taste buds.
Throughout the evening guests bid on exclusive silent and live auction
items, including vacation packages, sporting events tickets and memorabilia,
restaurant and retail gift certificates, and dozens of beautiful
pieces for the home. The generosity of the sponsors, guests and
auction donors made it possible for the Festival of Fall event to
raise nearly $110,000.
We hope you will consider sponsoring the 36th Annual Festival
of Fall taking place on October 10, 2010 at the home of
Phaedra and Mark Ledbetter, the recently renovated Laurabelle A. Robinson
House in Pasadena. The Robinson House was commissioned in 1905
by lawyer and financier Henry Robinson and his wife, Laurabelle. It was
designed by architects Greene and Greene and was contracted by Peter Hall.
Phaedra and Mark Ledbetter purchased the dilapidated estate in 1998, and
began a 6 1/2 year restoration process bringing the house and the 4 acres of
gardens back to its original splendor.
Your assistance will help us reach our goal of raising $150,000 to support the Lawrence L. Frank
Center and Pasadena Work Center, which provide programs and services to children and adults
with special needs.
