As we have been doing during the past few club years, we

the first Tuesday. We hope that with meetings at different
days and times, more members will find times convenient
for them to attend. Also, our longtime sponsor, Hendricks
Pianos, no longer has evening hours. Thus, there are several locations for programs this year.

2014 Music Awards
DGMC has a long tradition of presenting
monetary awards to talented student musicians. In 2014, DGMC presented six
$400 Rising Stars Awards. In addition,
due to very generous donations by Grove Dental and the
Nancy Mundinger Memorial Fund and to the success of our
fall fundraiser, DGMC was able to present four $1,000 College Music Awards. The total amount of all of the Student
Music Awards given last spring is $6,400.
All winners were announced at the 2014 Awards Assemblies held on May 6th at Downers Grove South (DGS) and
on May 20th at Downers Grove North (DGN).
The Rising Stars are: (from DGS) Brett Cohen, baritone;
Brooke Nuccio, flute/piccolo; Samuel Tedeschi, tuba/string
bass; (from DGN) Shannon Kennedy, alto; Julija Lemenaite, violin ; Anthony McMahon, saxophone.
