ISPIRAZIONE “POPORO “ COLLEZIONE P/E 2016
Per la collezione 2016 MartiKa si è ispirata alle culture preispaniche, in special modo alla cultura
“Quimbaya del periodo classico, ricco di pezzi elaborati in oro al 100%.
Gli oggetti d’ispirazione sono due: Il Poporo Quimbaya ed una specie di omino amorfo traforato.
Il Poporo Quimbaya appartiene al periodo classico, ed è stato costruito intorno al 300 aC. I Quimbaya abitarono al centro della valle del fiume Cauca,composta oggi dai dipartimenti di Caldas,
Risaralda e Quindio (Zone del caffè colombiano). Tutti i pezzi trovati in questa zona sono chiamati
Quimbaya e la loro fabbricazione è stata attribuita a questo gruppo etnico.
Il Poporo è presente in una stampa, per questa collezione “Poporo”, con delle sfumature sul verde,
viola e grigio, accompagnate da smeraldi e dal fiore acquatico “La Victoria Cruziana”.
L’omino amorfo traforato è invece presente come cornice in due stampe, per le magliette della
collezione.
MartiKa ha pensato anche alla stampa al caffè, ispirata sempre a queste regioni, e per realizzarla,
prende spunto da un’opera del maestro di pittura colombiano Jhon Jaimer Morales, il quale collaborò con i ritocchi finali all’opera “Chapolera”(Donna che raccoglie caffè).
Presente nella stampa di un capo d’abbigliamento della collezione arricchita con dei ricami. Prendendo spunto da questa opera fu realizzata anche la stampa al “Caffe” fatta dalle foglie, chicchi e
fiori della pianta con alcune farfalle presenti nell’opera.
La collezione presenta anche la stampa “Victoria Cruziana”- ispirata al meraviglioso fiore acquatico dei paesi tropicali, arricchita con delle catene color oro e delle perle grigie, che rendono la
stampa molto raffinata ed elegante.
Abbiamo anche la stampa “Foresta” ispirata al raggiante giallo delle margherite con l’intenso
verde delle foglie della palma di cera del Quindio ed un gufo porta fortuna che, da qualche parte,
spunta timidamente in mezzo alla foresta.
Per sbizzarrirsi non poteva mancare la stampa “Leopardo” abbinata all’effetto “Blue Jeans”, entrambi mischiate nella confezione dei capi con lo scopo di proporre diverse possibilità di scelta. La
stampa “Rose” viene riproposta come suggerimento delle clienti.
Per ultimo Martika propone il monocolore “Caño Cristales”, ispirata ad un fiume colombiano che
ha lo stesso nome e che permette abbinamenti con le stampe “Victoria Cruziana e Foresta “.
Sono utilizzati materiali come cotone 100%, cotone/lino, viscosa e cuoio insieme a tanta artigianalità, presente nei parei, sandali e borse.
Martika è un marchio creato in Italia nel 2014 dalla italo-colombiana, Martha Isabel Zapata H.,
l’unica responsabile della parte creativa, progettazione, ricerca dei materiali e della distribuzione
dei suoi prodotti che vanno dai divertenti costumi da bagno ai parei, borse da spiaggia e sandali.
La missione principale di Martika è quella di offrire ai suoi clienti un prodotto italiano al 100%.

INSPIRATION “POPORO “ COLLECTION S/S 2016
Pre-Hispanic cultures, especially the culture “of the classical period Quimbaya that is rich of pieces in gold 100%. This was a great inspiration for Martika to create the collection of 2016. The
objects of inspiration are two: The Poporo Quimbaya and a sort of little perforated amorphous
man. The first belongs to the classical period, and was built around 300 BC.
The Quimbaya inhabited the central part of the valley of Cauca river ,composed today by the
departments of Caldas, Risaralda and Quindio (Zone of Colombian coffee). All pieces found in this
area are called Quimbaya and their manufacture has been attributed to this ethnic group.
The Poporo is presented in a print of the collection “Poporo” with shades of green, purple and gray
accompanied by emeralds and flower water “La Victoria Cruziana”.
The little perforated amorphous man is presented as an amorphous perforated frame in two
prints for T-shirts .
Martika has also thought to release the coffee print which is inspired by a Colombian artist
namedJhon Jaimer Morales who contributed to finish the work “Chapolera” - (Woman harvesting
coffee). This drawing is presented in a print of an item of clothing from the collection embellished
with ebroideries.
It impressed Martika so much, that was been created a print “Coffee” made from leaves, grains,
flowers plant, and some butterflies are also presented in the work.
In this collection you can find the print called “Victoria Cruziana”, inspired by the wonderful water-flower from different tropical countries. It was also enriched with gold chains and black beads
that makes it more refined and elegant.
We also created the print called “Forest” that is inspired by the radiant yellow daisies with the intense green colour of the leaves, of the wax palm of Quindio and an owl(symbol of good luck) that
is timidly checking from the forest.
We could not miss the indulging print “Leopard” that is combined with the effect of “Blue Jeans”,
both parts are mixed to give our client a possibility of choice.
Finally, Martika proposes the single color “Caño Cristales” inspired by a Colombian river that has
the same name and allows matching with prints “Victoria Cruziana and Forest”.
The materials have a range of 100% cotton, cotton/linen, viscose, leather and a lot of craftsmanship presented in sarongs, in sandals and bags.
Martika is a brand created in Italy in 2014 by the Italian-Colombian, Martha Isabel Zapata H, the
only responsible for the creative, design, materials research and the distribution of its products,
ranging from swimsuits to fun sarongs, bags and beach sandals.
The primary mission of Martika is to offer its customers a 100% Italian.
