Preparing Christian Leaders - One Student at a Time Eva says she feels “ready to take on the world after high school with God at my side.” classmates. “The friends I have made here at Lutheran High will stay with me the rest of my life,” she insists. “We are brought together in Christ’s love, and that’s irreplaceable...We are in the Word of God, in prayer, and sing praises to Him every single day. To me…that makes a world of difference.” As much as she enjoys her time at Lutheran High (“I love Lutheran High!”), Eva also looks forward to life beyond high school. “I hope to go to college, go pre-med, and eventually end up with a job I love,” she explains. “Of course, I want to get married, have a family, and travel the world, but I’m taking one thing at a time!” Not such an easy thing to do for someone as gifted as Eva Nimmer. The Multi-Talented Ms. Nimmer She’s talented, hard-working, intelligent, charismatic, disciplined, and has a great smile. Her friends call her the Eva-nator. Oh, she also loves Mr. Kind’s (Lutheran High’s chef extraordinaire) grilled cheese sandwiches. Meet the multi-talented, one and only Eva Nimmer! If you have not seen Eva acting in Soul Train, performing with the dance team, or singing in musicals, you probably have not been around Lutheran High much. In fact, Eva is looking forward to playing the lead in Lutheran High’s upcoming musical, South Pacific, this April. You will not want to miss the performance! Until the musical, Eva will continue to stay very busy at Lutheran High. Besides being involved in musicals, Soul Train, and dance, Eva also participates in chamber choir, treble choir, fall drama productions, and honors band. She is an extremely hard working student too. “Lutheran High,” she says, “has become my home away from home. The teachers are excellent and I’ve made awesome friends. I’ve made so many amazing memories, and I can’t wait to experience more!” Some of Eva’s favorite experiences and memories revolve around Homecoming—the bonfire and festivities in particular. When Lutheran High needs help with fundraisers or volunteers to speak to churches and youth groups, Nick is always on hand to help. “Lutheran High has helped me grow as a Christian leader,” says Nick, “because they have allowed me to take on roles, practice, and learn. He also appreciates how Lutheran High teachers “relate schoolwork to a student’s life.” Nick came from a public grade school, and wants all current grade school students to know that Lutheran High is special. “It’s an exciting place and you get to meet great students and teachers,” he says. “Plus, you have so many opportunities to participate in things here.” Nick will continue to benefit from all that he has experienced and learned at Lutheran High. And he, in turn, will continue to be a blessing to so many others. Preparing Christian Leaders - One Student at a Time Hillary plans to go on to Iowa State University to study athletic training and coaching in order to become a basketball coach (she’s a huge UConn Huskie fan). Until then, she plans on enjoying her senior year and cherishing her Christian friends. She knows that “all the friendships I’ve made were built on strong Christian values and, because of that, will last long after Lutheran High.” Senior Hillary Kreutz volunteers in the school office answering phones and assisting with office work.
