Important Dates
Erlton Yard Sale
Saturday, September
25th 8:00-2:00
Rain date
Sunday September 26th
same times.
It’s that time of year again, time to sort through your stuff and make some money!
The yard sale is scheduled for Saturday, September 25th with a rain date of Sunday,
September 26th. The advertised times will be from 8am until 2pm. The ESCA will
take out ads in the Courier Post and on the ABC Channel 6 website. Please register
your yard sale by completing the communication form on page 2 of this newsletter
and returning it along with a check to either Barbara Krowicki at 31 Harding Ave,
Susanne Bromke at 56 Grant Ave. or mailing it to ESCA PO 1814, Cherry Hill 08034.
Please bear in mind that this is the only fundraiser that the association conducts for
events other than the Independence Day parade. By registering your sale, you help
make events like the Egg Hunt, Halloween Parade and Holiday Wine & Cheese
possible. The cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.
Each registered yard sale will be marked and listed on maps; which will be available
at the Erlton Thrift Shop for shoppers to pick up. We will also deliver maps and
balloons to each resident who registers for the yard sale. The shops along Rt. 70 in
Erlton will be participating in the sale too. Tara, owner of the Erlton Thrift Shop, will
be the liaison between the ESCA and the merchants.
Since the Bake Sale was such a hit last year, we are doing it again this year and ask
for your contributions. Cookies, brownies, muffins, breads, or cakes will be
welcomed. Please mark your container if your baked goods contain peanuts or tree
nuts. We ask that you drop your donations off to Susanne Bromke’s house at 56
Grant the evening before or the morning of the yard sale. Proceeds from the Bake
Sale will go to the Parade fund. A new addition to the day is an Alex’s Strawberry
Shortcake Lemonade Stand hosted by our Erlton Brownie Troop. The girls will be
selling lemonade at the triangle and all proceeds will go to the Alex’s Lemonade
Stand Foundation.
We hope for good weather and a big crowd, so please be sure to sign up today! The
dead line is Wednesday, September 22nd.

Autumn 2010
Neighborhood Reminders
Even the most devoted fans of summer are ready to wave goodbye to this incredibly hot and dry
season in favor of the crisp air of autumn. Now’s the time to clean up Erlton, the executive board
members have jump started the process by getting the medians on Rt. 70 through our main street in
shape. You can do your part by keeping these things in mind this fall:
•
•
•
•
•
All yard waste must be put in trash cans or paper bags. The trash collectors no longer collect yard
waste in plastic bags.
Private contractors must remove or bag leaves as they are not permitted to blow them to the street.
Please do not rake leaves into the street, rather rake them to the section between the street and the
sidewalk and only the week prior to township collection. Better yet, pick up paper bags from the
Municipal or Public Works buildings and bag your leaves.
Boats and campers must be stored according to township ordinances. Violations should be
reported to Property Maintenance at 856-432-8780.
Trash and recycle bins should not be put on the curb until Monday evening after 5pm and should
be off the curb by Tuesday evening. Please do not put cans out early.
The ESCA has worked closely with the Cherry Hill Traffic Division to try to make our neighborhood
safe for our families.
•
•
•
•
•
•
Please slow down when driving through our neighborhood, be the example not part of the
problem.
School is back in session – slow down, yield to school buses. Failure to do so is a 4 point ticket and
up to $600 in fines.
Yield to all pedestrians. Vehicles must stop for pedestrians in a crosswalk and must yield to a
pedestrian at a corner who is attempting to cross a street.
Teach your children to ride their bikes safely, bikes should be on the street and should be traveling
on the same side of the road a vehicle moving in that direction, not against traffic.
Home break-ins continue to plague Cherry Hill and Erlton is not immune. Please keep your
windows and doors locked at all times. Keep garage doors locked too.
To prevent theft of vehicles or property from vehicles please lock your cars and keep all evidence
of GPS or other desirable equipment out of view.
Thank you for helping to make Erlton the safest and most beautiful community in Cherry Hill.
