TRIM flush
Our Trim Flush reflector detail is offered with
many of our recessed fixtures. Trim Flush is
designed for use only in sheetrock ceilings
where the sheetrock is 1” or less thick and
where compound will be applied, if not to
the entire ceiling, then at least to areas surrounding lighting fixture apertures.
Our Trim Flush detail can be specified by
•including a –TF Reflector detail in
the fixture product code, and
•ordering the TF Ring accessory
indicated on the fixture catalog
page (spec sheet).

seven Trim Flush details and include three
important dimensions:
•the diameter of the cutout required
in the sheetrock to permit the use of
a TF Ring
•the diameter of the reflector

•the diameter of the reflector flange.

TRIM flush (–TF)
installation instructions
IMPORTANT
These fixtures take Trim Flush (–TF) reflectors and are intended for use in a sheetrock ceiling. Install the fixture
housing only as shown on the enclosed (white) Installation Instructions. Coordinate with the ceiling contractor to
ensure that ceiling is finished as shown below.
When TF Ring Accessory is fully inserted, the spackle
screen should be touching the sheetrock at all points.
Secure spackle screen to sheetrock with ¾” sheetrock
screws and with self-adhesive fiberglass drywall joint
tape at edges.
Apply two coats of drywall compound, sanding between
coats. Be careful to leave the center of the protective
disc free of compound.
