uffalo Treasures is one part passion, one part preservation, one part personal style, one part formal Fine
Art education and a continuous dedication to an award winning Limited Edition Fine Art Watercolor Print
series.
Each Treasure is a watercolor painting of a Historical, Architectural or Emotional asset throughout
Buffalo and Western New York. The series has won multiple awards in the short time (2008 - present) that it
has been in the public eye.
The idea to do the series began back in 1974, when the artist, David J. W. Manny, came to the State University
College of Buffalo to complete his formal Fine Art education, achieving a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Art) in Painting.
This beautiful series has now grown into a catalog of over 65 locations. Included are such “Classic Buffalo
Treasures” as Buffalo City Hall, Buffalo Memorial Auditorium, Sheas’ Performing Arts, Delaware Park (designed
by Frederick Law Olmstead), Chef’s, Anchor Bar, La Nova Pizzeria, Parkside Candies, Botanical Gardens,
Our Lady of Victory, H. H. Richardson Complex, Albright Knox National Art Gallery just to name a few. These
prints in are currently being sold in the coveted Buffalo Section of both locations of Reeds~Jenss, Hyatts Art
Supply of Buffalo and Poster Art Gallery of Buffalo.
Finally, there are, finely printed Buffalo Treasures blank note cards. These cards are not mass produced, nor
contain a commercial bar code. They are hand packaged in a clear acetate box, one card, one envelope each, of 12
different “Classic Buffalo Treasures”. The back of each card contains a snippet of history of each location. Now
available to ALL retailers with a counter rack program.
