With just 4 seconds remaining and the ball on the Pineville 8yard line, running backs Jarious Green and Landon King were inserted as pass rushers and they forced Marksville quarterback Laqaaron “Qa” Mingo to scramble out of the pocket, where Jordan Brown forced him out of bounds for a sack to preserve a 31-28 victory as the Rebels improved to 3-0 on the season. 9/4 LEESVILLE 41, Westlake 24 9/11 SOUTH BEAUREGARD 43, Leesville 41 9/18 LEESVILLE 49, ASH 39 9/25 at PINEVILLE REBELS 7 p.m. 10/2 IOWA YELLOW JACKETS 7 p.m. 10/9 * at Wash.-Marion Indians 7 p.m. 10/16 * RAYNE WOLVES 7 p.m. 10/23 * at LaGrange Gators 7 p.m. 10/30 * at Crowley Gents 7 p.m. 11/6 * DERIDDER DRAGONS 7 p.m. Leesville shows off dominating running game in home victory against ASH — HOME GAMES IN ALL CAPS *denotes District 3-3A game Pineville High School Quick Facts Clayton Wider Jr. rushed for a career-high 139 yards and a touchdown, while junior fullback King added 74 yards and two touchdowns, including a 13-yarder with 2:33 remaining in the game as Pineville preserved a victory after blowing a 21-6 lead in the first half. Green, a senior running back, returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter, and he showed off his speed again on the game’s final play. Mingo had given the Rebels fits all game, passing for 195 yards and rushing for 132 until the final sack by Brown. He had led the Tigers 65 yards into position to knock off the Rebels in a thrilling contest. Junior Cory McCoy ran for 293 yards and four touchdowns and senior quarterback Caden Wheeler added 209 yards and three rushing TDs as the Wampus Cats racked up 560 yards of total offense in a 49-39 win over Alexandria Senior High last week to improve to 2-1 on the season. Wider didn’t rush for more than 65 yards in a game during his first season as a starter in 2014, but he’s topped that mark in each of the past two weeks. Wider ran for a career-best 111 yards and a touchdown during the Rebels’ Week 2 victory over Tioga, and he topped that mark last week by rushing for 139 yards on a career -high 21 carries. He was at his best on the opening drive of the game, ripping off runs of 32 and 21 yards before scoring a 6-yard touchdown. Wider nearly found the end zone a second time, but he fumbled at the goalline in the fourth quarter on a play that would have put the Rebels ahead by two scores. If there’s an Achilles’ heel for Wider and the Rebels so far this season, it’s ball security. Wider has fumbled six times and lost five of them, as Pineville has lost eight of nine fumbles on the season. ROBBIE MARTIN Head coach, 7th season Northwestern State, 1991 27-33 overall at Pineville Robbie Martin is a name synonymous with Pineville football. He’s been around the game and the team for the better part of three decades. A former player and defensive coordinator before becoming head coach, Martin bleeds cardinal and white. Martin was a standout offensive lineman at Pineville High, playing for the legendary Don Shows, before becoming a four-year letterman for Sam Goodwin at Northwestern State. Martin and the Demons won the Southland Conference championship in 1988. After serving as a student assistant under Goodwin in Natchitoches, Martin was an assistant at Buckeye High School for four years, serving as offensive line coach and defensive coordinator, before returning to his alma mater at Pineville. Landon King hits several milestones in win against Tioga Junior fullback Landon King topped three major milestones during the Rebels’ Week 2 victory against Tioga — setting a new career high for rushing yards in a game while also crossing landmark career marks for yards and touchdowns. King rushed for a career-high 183 yards and two touchdowns in the Rebels’ 36-12 win against Tioga. His 72-yard touchdown up the middle in the final minute of the first half gave Pineville a 21-3 lead at halftime, and his 5-yard TD midway through the fourth quarter put the Rebels ahead 29-12 shortly after the Indians had cut the lead to nine. King’s previous career high had been 149 yards in the Rebels’ Week 3 win over Walker last season. He also tied his career high with 18 carries, and it was the second twotouchdown game of his career. The 72-yard touchdown run was the longest run of his career. In addition to the strong single-game performance against Tioga, King surpassed 1,000 career rushing yards and scored his 10th career touchdown in the game. King rushed for 820 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore, and through two games in 2015 he now has 1,053 career rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns (11 total TDs). Joffrion, Boyd and Brown standing out for Rebel defense Through three games, the Pineville Rebel defense has showed its strength at linebacker and defensive end. Senior linebacker Jacob Joffrion, senior defensive end Esdon Boyd and sophomore linebacker Jordan Brown all have surpassed the 20-tackle mark over the season’s first three weeks. The 5-foot-10, 235-pound Brown leads the Rebels with 23 tackles — making 10 solo stops and 13 assists. The 6-foot, 180-pound Boyd and the 5-10, 215-pound Joffrion both have seven solo tackles and 15 assists for a total of 22 tackles through three games. While with the Rebels, Martin served as the defensive coordinator under both Herbie Smith and Boyd leads the Rebel defense with 7.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. Brown has 4.5 Mike Richard from 1995 to 2009 before taking over as TFLs, and he made his first sack of the season on the final play of the game against Markshead coach at his alma mater. ville as he forced Laqaaron “Qa” Mingo out of bounds for an 18-yard loss to secure the Martin became the interim head coach following Rebels’ victory. Joffrion, meanwhile, has 1.5 TFLs and half a sack. He and Boyd both lead Richard’s resignation four games into the 2009 season the Rebels with 5 QB hurries. and succeeded him full time the following season. This The Rebels are giving up less than two touchdowns (13.3 points) per game in their season will be Martin’s sixth as the Rebels’ full-time three wins this season, and are allowing just 64.3 rushing yards a contest. They have allowed 211 yards per game, giving up an average of just 3.5 yards on 179 plays on the seahead coach. son. Dan Christman (7th season) Rebels seek return to playoffs for second straight season One year removed from their first trip to the Class 5A playoffs in seven seasons, the Pineville Rebels look for a return trip to the postseason in 2015. After losing their season opener on the road in 2014, the Rebels won five of their next six games and landed a spot in the playoffs despite dropping their final three games of the regular season. Seeded No. 29, the Rebels lost in the first round to eventual runner-up Destrehan. .................................................................... Southeast Oklahoma State, 1988 Offense switches to Georgia Tech flexbone formation Defensive Coordinator/Inside Linebackers Paul Johnson has built his career as a successful offensive coach while remaining one of the few coaches to rely on the flexbone triple option. Johnson, a former Navy assistant, first became a head coach at Georgia Southern. Johnson then returned to Navy and most recently moved to Georgia Tech, where he’s been the head coach since 2008, making the Orange Bowl two times. ..................................................................................... Travis Haselback (1st season) John Muder is back home in the cardinal and white. The 1999 graduate of Pineville High School has returned to his alma mater as the Rebels’ defensive coordinator after spending the past five seasons as an assistant at Breaux Bridge. A standout linebacker who played for Herbie Smith, Muder became one of the best linebackers to ever suit up for Louisiana College during his standout four-year career with the Wildcats. A two-time all-conference player at LC, Muder finished his career with 181 career tackles. His total of 100 tackles as a senior in 2003 still ranks fourth in school history. .................................................................................... Keith Hood (11th season) Muder previously was defensive coordinator at Breaux Bridge, helping the Tigers to five consecutive Class 4A playoff appearances. The Tigers advanced to the semifinals in 2011, and were knocked out of the playoffs by state power Neville in three of the five years. .......................................................................................Louisiana College, 1992 Muder brings the 50 defense to D.C. “Bill” Bates Stadium Defensive Line/Freshmen Muder hopes bringing some of the concepts and schemes he learned during his five years in Breaux Bridge can help rejuvenate the Rebels’ defense as they compete in one of the state’s toughest districts. .................................................................................................. Pineville High, 1990 The middle of the defense features two linebackers and two safeties, with a cornerback on either side. However, on offense, three of the team’s stalwarts are back in senior quarterback Clayton Wider Jr., senior running back Jarious Green and junior fullback Landon King. Senior right guard Dakota Cross also is back. Defensively, the Rebels returned senior middle linebacker Jacob Joffrion, senior nose guard Cha’kel Williams and senior defensive back Aaron Johnson, who moved from cornerback to safety. Week 4 • Pineville Rebels vs. Leesville Wampus Cats • Friday, Sept. 25 • 7 p.m. Jarious Green’s big plays lifted Rebels past Leesville in 2014 Ball mayor loses ‘jersey wager’ with Pineville mayor Jarious Green isn’t seeing any regular time on defense this season, but the Rebels certainly needed him on that side of the ball in 2014. There was a little something extra besides community pride on the line when Tioga and Pineville hooked up in Week 2. The cities’ mayors hosted a friendly wager on the outcome, with the losing team’s mayor having to wear the opponent’s jersey to work on Monday. Green intercepted a pass attempt by Leesville quarterback Caden Wheeler with less than two minutes to play in the game — and less than 2 minutes after he broke free for a 60-yard touchdown that turned out to be the game-winner as the Rebels held on for a 22-17 road win to improve to 4-1 on the season. Green rushed for just 63 yards on seven carries and made only one tackle in the game, but when the Rebels needed him in crunch time, he came through with the game’s two biggest plays. Landon King led the Rebels with 118 rushing yards and a touchdown, while senior Jammie Simmons added 76 yards and a score as the Rebels rushed for 254 yards and three TDs. All 254 of Pineville’s offensive yards came on the ground. Jacob Joffrion led Pineville with 10 total tackles against the Wampus Cats, while senior Wyatt Turnage added six stops, including three tackles for loss. The Rebel defense limited Leesville to just 213 yards of total offense in the contest. Because of the Rebels’ 36-12 victory over Tioga, Ball Mayor Neil Cavanaugh wore a Pineville Rebel jersey to Ball Town Hall the Monday after the game, as Pineville Mayor Clarence Fields escaped having to prance around Pineville City Hall in an Indians jersey. Rebels’ running game just fine without Cody Ford Last year’s Pineville offense was fairly simple — run the ball behind massive left tackle Cody Ford. The 6-foot-3, 325-pound Ford could either control the defensive lineman in front of him or get up to the second level to punish linebackers. He was a dominant force who helped the Rebels rush for almost 1,800 yards last season. But Ford is gone, off to the University of Oklahoma, where the threestar prospect signed in February. So, too, are three other starters from last season’s offensive line. Senior right Rebel defense facing tough task guard Dakota Cross is the only returnslowing down Cory McCoy ing starter on the offensive line, and the Rebels’ two starting tackles averCory McCoy, Leesville’s speedy Pineville Mayor Clarence Fields (left) and Ball Mayor Neil age 200 pounds. junior tailback, is one of the top rush- Cavanaugh (right) pose with each other in their opponent’s jersey. Cavanaugh lost a “jersey wager” with Fields and had to ers in the state so far this season. The biggest starting lineman on the team is junior left guard Jacob Parson at 5-10 and 270 pounds, Through three games, McCoy is averaging more than 250 and the rest of the four starters average 205 pounds. But the lack rushing yards per game. He’s rushed for 761 yards on 77 carries, of prototypical size hasn’t hurt the Rebels’ running game. an average of 9.9 yards per carry, and he’s scored 12 touchdowns. McCoy ran a 10.9 in the 100-meter dash last season and finished second in Class 4A in the 110 hurdles. Quarterback Caden Wheeler has added 314 rushing yards and 4 TDs, while DaQuan Davis has 155 yards and 2 scores as the Wampus Cats are averaging 9.4 yards per rushing attempt. The game figures to be a battle won in the trenches. Not only does Leesville rely on the running game, so too do the Rebels. Pineville is averaging 293 rushing yards per game, and both junior fullback Landon King and senior quarterback Clayton Wider Jr. are averaging more than 100 rushing yards per game. Pineville has averaged 6 yards per rush. Neither quarterback has stood out in the passing game. Wider has passed for 100 yards on 5-of-12 passing, while Wheeler has completed just 6 of 25 attempts for 84 yards. Wider has not thrown an interception so far this season, while Wheeler has been picked off three times. After rushing for 181 yards in the season-opening win over Captain Shreve, the Rebels piled up 424 yards on 50 carries (an average of 8.5 yards per carry) against Tioga. Three runners rushed for at least 100 yards. Pineville didn’t rush for 400 yards in a single game in 2014 — surpassing the 300-yard mark only twice in wins against Alexandria Senior High (374 yards) and Tioga (339). They followed up that dominating performance against Tioga with 276 yards on 46 carries in a Week 3 win over Marksville. Senior quarterback Clayton Wider Jr. led the way with a careerhigh 139 rushing yards. The Rebels’ running trio of Wider and backs Jarious Green and Landon King are all averaging more than 5 yards per carry. King leads the team with 307 yards (102.3 ypg), while Wider has 302 yards (100.7 ypg) and Green is sitting on 176 yards (58.7 ypg) on the season. Week 4 • Pineville Rebels vs. Leesville Wampus Cats • Friday, Sept. 25 • 7 p.m. Week 1: Pineville 17, Captain Shreve 0 Pineville 17 September 4, 2015 • Bates Stadium Captain Shreve 0 Strong defensive showing leads Rebels to shutout victory in season opener Jarious Green rushed for two touchdowns, and the Pineville Rebels defense of new coordinator John Muder pitched a shutout in a 17-0 win over Captain Shreve last week at D.C. “Bill” Bates Stadium. Muder’s defense set the tone early with a safety on Captain Shreve’s first possession, and the Gators never got going offensively. Julian Charles returned the opening kickoff 99 yards for an apparent touchdown for the Gators, but a holding penalty negated the long return. Captain Shreve never really threatened again. Pineville’s defense pushed the Gators back 11 yards over the next three plays, and sophomore linebacker Jordan Brown tackled Camron Davis in the end zone to give the Rebels (1-0) the early lead. Green, the Rebels’ senior running back, scored from 3 yards out on the final offensive play of the first quarter to give Pineville a 9-0 lead, and Green broke free for a 17-yard touchdown with 4:55 to play in the first half to put the Rebels ahead 17-0. Pineville slogged its way through the rest of the game offensively, but the Rebels’ defense was more than up to the challenge. Captain Shreve managed just 57 yards of offense on 57 plays in the game, and Damarcus McCall gained all of them on a run late in the first half, breaking free of two Rebel defenders and sprinting deep into Pineville territory. “We had it for no gain, and a couple of people knocked each other out of the play,” Pineville coach Robbie Martin said. That scoring threat came up empty for the Gators when junior safety Matthew Sylvia stepped in front of a Luke Leggio pass near the goal line to make an interception. Outside of McCall’s long run, Captain Shreve netted zero yards on its 56 remaining plays. “The defense got that egg,” said senior defensive end Esdon Boyd, who made two sacks and five tackles for loss Friday night. “That’s all we care about. We worked our butt off.” “We were fantastic defensively all game,” Martin said. Pineville’s power running attack was grounded for most of the game by Captain Shreve’s anticipatory defense. The Gators jumped the snap count, sending linebackers and knocking off the timing of the Rebels’ flexbone offense. Gator linebacker Ashton Lacaze was particularly outstanding, finishing the game with 14 tackles, a sack and three tackles for loss. Pineville finished the game with 248 yards of offense, including 181 yards rushing on 50 carries. Green led the Rebels with 55 yards on 11 carries, while senior quarterback Clayton Wider had 52 yards on 19 carries and junior fullback Landon King finished with 50 yards on 14 rushes. Wider also passed for 67 yards. The Rebels fumbled the football seven times, with six of them being recovered by Captain Shreve. “We need to step up our game,” senior right guard Dakota Cross said. “Complete more passes, run the ball better (and) definitely hold it better. We have to work on the little things. If you do enough little things wrong, it becomes a big problem.” Though his team’s offense struggled, Martin said he was pleased the Rebels began the season with a one in the win column rather than a loss like last season. “Any win against a 5A opponent is satisfying,” Martin said. “I thought the second half was one of the ugliest games I’ve ever seen. Both defenses dominated the offenses.” Yardstick First Downs Rushing Yards Pineville 9 8 0 0 - 17 Passing Yards Comp-Att-Int 1 10:00 PHS-Jordan Brown tackles Camron Davis for safety 2-0 Total Offensive Yards 0:03 PHS-Jarious Green 2 run (Gavin Capehart kick), 5-29, 2:16 9-0 Total Offensive Plays 2 4:55 PHS-Green 17 run (Green run), 6-26, 2:14 17-0 Average Gain Per play Fumbles: Number-Lost PLAYER STATS/OPPONENT LEADERS Penalties: Numbers-Yards Punts-Average Defense: Pineville, Esdon Boyd 9 tackles, 5 TFLs, Rushing: Pineville, Jarious Green 11-55, 2 TDs; Punt Returns: Number-Yards-TD 2 sacks, 1 PBU; Kellen Wenslow 6 tackles, 1.5 TFLs, Clayton Wider 19-52; Landon King 14-50; Average Per Return 1 sack; Travis Garrison 5 tackles, 2.5 TFLs, 0.5 Quadrell Jimmerson 5-25; Captain Shreve, Kickoff Returns: Numbers-Yards-TD sacks; Jordan Brown 5 tackles, 2 TFLs, safety; Demarcus McCall 4-63, Michael Edwards 5-4 Average Per Return Passing: Pineville, Clayton Wider 3-6-0, 67 yards; Daveon Calhoun 5 tackles; Shandon Miller 5 Interceptions: Number-Yards-TD Kyle Adams 0-1-0; Captain Shreve, Lucas Grubb tackles, 1 PBU; Matthew Sylvia 2 tackles, 0.5 TFL, Fumble Returns: Number-Yards-TD FR; Jacob Joffrion 3 tackles, 1 TFL; Mack Wells 2 7-14-0, 37 yards; Luke Leggio 3-11-1, 25 yards; Possession Time tackles, 1.5 TFLs, 0.5 sacks, 1 FR; Isaiah Hayward 2 Elliott Redstone 0-1-0 Third-Down Conversions Receiving: Pineville, Gavin Capehart 1-35; Jarious tackles, 1 TFL; Aaron Johnson 2 tackles, 1 PBU; Fourth-Down Conversions Cha’kel Williams 1 FR; Captain Shreve, Ashton Red-Zone Scores-Chances Green 1-23; Troy Johnson 1-9; Captain Shreve, Lacaze 14 tackles, 2.5 TFLs, 1 sack, 2 FFs, 1 FR; Sack by: Number-Yards Corey Milligan 2-27; Nico Peretin 3-18; Camron Jacob Brown 7 tackles, FR; Julian Charles 6 tackles; PAT Kicks Davis 1-10; Julian Charles 1-8; Octavio Cooper 1-7; Michael Edwards 5 tackles, 0.5 TFLs, 2 FRs Field Goals Arthur Hicks 1-2 Captain Shreve 0 0 0 0 - 0 PHS 13 181 67 3-7-0 248 57 4.4 7-6 7-49 4-25.0 2-16-0 8.0 2-22-0 11.0 1-4-0 2-0-0 28:58 4-13 1-3 2-5 4-30 1-1 0-0 CS 7 -5 62 10-26-1 57 57 1.0 5-2 7-48 6-20.7 1-1-0 1.0 2-5 2.5 0-0-0 6-0-0 19:02 5-18 1-4 0-2 1-12 0-0 0-0 Week 4 • Pineville Rebels vs. Leesville Wampus Cats • Friday, Sept. 25 • 7 p.m. Week 2: Pineville 36, Tioga 12 Pineville 36 September 11, 2015 • The Reservation Tioga 12 Rebels rush for 400-plus yards, run away with Red River Rivalry victory TIOGA – Landon King, Clayton Wider and Jarious Green each rushed for at least 100 yards Friday night as the Pineville Rebels racked up more than 400 rushing yards in a 36-12 win over Tioga. King, Pineville’s junior fullback, rushed for 183 yards on 18 carries, including a back-breaking 72-yard touchdown in the final minute of the first half to give the Rebels a 21-3 lead after the first two quarters. King also scored a 5-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter that put the game out of reach after Tioga had cut the Rebels’ lead to 21-12. “Landon is a big, strong, physical kid,” Pineville coach Robbie Martin said. “He didn’t have many carries in the first half, so he was really fresh.” King ran nine times for 85 yards over a two-drive span in the fourth quarter leading up to his second touchdown. Martin said the Rebels were running option to the weak side of the field to take advantage of the way the Indians were playing on defense, and Wider continued to hand the ball to King up the middle. “I just tried to keep executing my plays and not let my team down,” King said. But it wasn’t just King who damaged the Indians’ defense Friday night. Martin has been at Pineville for more than two decades, and he said he can’t remember the Rebels ever having three backs eclipse 100 yards in the same game during that time frame. Wider, the Rebels’ senior quarterback, kept the ball 16 times for 111 yards and a touchdown, while senior running back Green finished with 12 carries for an even 100 yards and two scores. “It’s nice to know you can rely on your teammates day in and day out,” King said. The Rebels’ defense turned in a second straight standout performance, giving up just one touchdown. Tioga got inside the Rebels’ 30-yard line four times in the first half and came away with just a field goal. Pineville’s defense gave up 214 yards of offense in the game, with 89 of those coming on a pass from Dubois to senior Hayden Weltz that set up the Indians’ only touchdown – a 1-yard run by senior fullback Tremaine Spears. “We had one little blown play,” said senior middle linebacker Jacob Joffrion, who led the Rebels with 12 tackles, one shy of his career high. “I thought our defense was fantastic in the first half,” Martin said. “Our special teams put them in a hole at least three times, and we gave up just a field goal. We gave up one big play. … (Weltz) is a very good football player for them. He broke a tackle on the hitch and ran down the sideline.” Dubois threw for 166 yards in the game but completed just 10 of 33 passes. Weltz had four receptions for 132 yards, one week after having 200 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The Tigers (1-2) rallied from a 21-6 deficit to take a 28-24 lead with just over five minutes to play on a trick play when running back Romeo Williams found Skylar Jackson for a 17-yard touchdown. But the Rebels responded with a long drive that was capped by King’s 13-yard score, his second of the game. King finished the game with 74 yards on 14 carries. King, who has four touchdowns on the season, called his gamewinner “a surreal moment.” “We were all excited,” King said. “We got the momentum back.” “They took the lead and our offense showed some character to get the ball with five minutes and drive the ball for a touchdown,” Pineville coach Robbie Martin said. But the Tigers had no quit in them as junior quarterback Qa Mingo, who gave the Rebel defense fits all night, marched Marksville down inside the Pineville 10-yard line. On the game’s final play, Mingo scrambled around and around, eluding Rebel rushers, before finally throwing incomplete as Marksville came up just shy of the upset. Mingo passed for 195 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 132 yards and two scores. “Mingo is a terrific player,” Martin said. “That guy, he’s a competitor. He’s a great athlete. He wore out a complete defense in the second half.” The Rebels ran out to a 21-6 lead and appeared poised to take complete control in the first half. Wider, who rushed for a career-high 142 yards, scored a 6-yard touchdown in the first quarter, and after a Mingo rushing touchdown, Jarious Green returned the ensuing kickoff 85 yards to give the Rebels (3-0) a 14-6 lead. King’s 6-yard touchdown midway through the second quarter put the Rebels ahead 21-6, and Pineville’s defense quickly forced a punt. However, the Tigers’ punt hit a Pineville player and Marksville recovered to set up a 25-yard touchdown pass from Mingo to Jeremy Gillam. “I felt like we had a chance to put them in a big bind at halftime,” Martin said. A 55-yard Mingo run in the third quarter tied the game at 21 before Pineville’s Gavin Capehart hit a 39-yard field goal to take a threepoint lead. The Rebels looked like they would take a 10-point lead as Wider ran into the end zone with just under eight minutes to play. But Wider lost the ball on what Martin called “a very questionable fumble” and the Tigers recovered in the end zone to set up their go-ahead score on Williams’ touchdown pass. Marksville coach J.T. Dunbar, whose team has dropped two straight tough contests, said he wished the Tigers could have pulled off the victory, but he was pleased with the way his team played. “It was a hard-fought game on both sides,” Dunbar said. “I thought our kids came out in the second half and busted their tails to get back in the game.” Martin and King both had praise for the Tigers’ performance Friday night. “We had a fight on our hands,” Martin said. “They’re a great team,” King said. “They’ve got a lot of athletes and weren’t just going to give this game to us. They’ve got a lot of heart.” Pineville 14 7 3 7 - 31 Marksville 6 8 7 7 - 28 1 10:34 7:31 2:13 2 5:26 7:47 3 8:40 1:18 4 5:35 2:33 PHS-Clayton Wider Jr. 6 run (Gavin Capehart kick), 4-64, 1:26 MHS-Laqaaron Mingo 6 run (John Scanlan kick fail), 13-82, 5:31 PHS-Jarious Green 85 KO return (Gavin Capehart kick), 0:13 PHS-Landon King 6 run (Gavin Capehart kick), 9-66, 5:12 MHS-Jeremy Gillam 25 pass from Mingo (Mingo run), 8-30, 2:42 MHS-Laqaaron Mingo 55 run (John Scanlan kick), 1-55, 0:15 PHS-Gavin Capehart 38 FG, 13-54, 7:22 MHS-Skylar Jackson 17 pass from Romeo Williams (Scanlan kick), 7-80, 2:15 PHS-Landon King 13 run (Gavin Capehart kick), 7-67, 3:02 7-0 7-6 14-6 21-6 21-14 21-21 24-21 28-24 31-28 PLAYER STATS/OPPONENT LEADERS Rushing: Pineville, Clayton Wider Jr. 22-139, TD; Landon King 14-74, 2 TDs; Jordan Holmes 1-41; Jarious Green 8-21; Marksville, Laqaaron Mingo 20-114, 2 TDs; Romeo Williams 7-28; Torrain St. Romain 3-5; Benjamin Young 3-2 Malik Williams 4-38; Skylar Jackson 1-17, TD Defense: Pineville, Jacob Joffrion 10 tackles, 4 QB hurries; Daveon Calhoun 10 tackles; Jordan Brown 8 tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 sack, 1 QB hurry; Esdon Boyd 7 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack, 2 QB hurries; Aaron Johnson 7 tackles, Shandon Miller 5 tackles, 1 INT, 1 PBU; Passing: Pineville, Clayton Wider Jr. 2-3-0, 33 Isaiah Hayward 5 tackles, 1 TFL, 3 QB hurries; yards; Marksville, Laqaaron Mingo 15-26-1, 195 Mack Wells 4 tackles; Kellen Wenslow 3 tackles, 2 yards, TD; Romeo Williams 1-1-0, 17 yards, TD QB hurries; Marksville, Shawn Williams 11 tackles, Receiving: Pineville, Landon King 1-25; Jordan 2 TFLs; Marion Magday 9 tackles; La’Ryan Jones 9 Holmes 1-8; Marksville, Torrain St. Romain 4-65; tackles; Jaron Johnson 8 tackles; Javon Guient 7 Romeo Williams 4-54; Jeremy Gillam 3-38, TD; tackles, 3 TFLs Yardstick First Downs Rushing Yards Passing Yards Comp-Att-Int Total Offensive Yards Total Offensive Plays Average Gain Per play Fumbles: Number-Lost Penalties: Numbers-Yards Punts-Average Punt Returns: Number-Yards-TD Average Per Return Kickoff Returns: Numbers-Yards-TD Average Per Return Interceptions: Number-Yards-TD Fumble Returns: Number-Yards-TD Possession Time Third-Down Conversions Fourth-Down Conversions Red-Zone Scores-Chances Sack by: Number-Yards PAT Kicks Field Goals PHS 17 276 33 2-3-0 309 49 6.3 2-2 5-53 2-28.5 0-0-0 0.0 5-136-1 27.2 1-4-0 0-0-0 24:58 4-8 1-1 4-6 2-26 4-4 1-2 THS 18 150 212 16-27-1 362 62 5.8 0-0 9-90 3-34.3 1-4-0 4.0 5-81-0 16.2 0-0-0 2-0-0 23:02 7-18 1-2 3-4 1-8 2-3 0-0 Week 4 • Pineville Rebels vs. Leesville Wampus Cats • Friday, Sept. 25 • 7 p.m. Pineville High School Rebels Offensive Team Stats Pineville Rebels Opponents Week 4 • Pineville Rebels vs. Leesville Wampus Cats • Friday, Sept. 25 • 7 p.m. Offensive Individual Stats Week 4 • Pineville Rebels vs. Leesville Wampus Cats • Friday, Sept. 25 • 7 p.m. Individual Kicking/Punting Stats Week 4 • Pineville Rebels vs. Leesville Wampus Cats • Friday, Sept. 25 • 7 p.m. Defensive Individual Stats Week 4 • Pineville Rebels vs. Leesville Wampus Cats • Friday, Sept. 25 • 7 p.m. Defensive Team Stats Individual Return Stats
