SEPTEMBER PROGRAM
The SBE Chapter 42 m eetings are generally held on the first Thursday of the m onth at the
W POZ Conference Center. Food and refreshm ents are available beginning at 6:00 p.m . The
m ain m eeting begin at 6:30 p.m . Check your em ail for m ore details; it looks like Panasonic will
be our presenter at the W KMG studios for Septem ber.
CHAPTER 42 Meeting Minutes - August 2, 2012
Chairm an Fluker called the August m eeting to order at
6:28 p.m . on August 2nd, 2012 at the W POZ studios
located at 1065 Rainer Drive, Altam onte Springs, FL
32714. The m eeting concluded at 6:56 p.m .
Newsletter - June m eeting was approved
Treasurer Report - nothing to report
Certification - no report
Mem bership - nothing to report
Frequency Report - nothing to report
EAS - There has been a continuing problem with inadvertent triggering of RMT
tests in an adjacent
EAS area through the
cable system s.
The
proposed solution is
for the adjacent area
LP1 to m onitor only
the WFLF PEP and not
the Area 7 RMT as is
being done now.
Old Business - The Ennes Workshop program has been finalized and the hotel details
are com plete with the exception of the projectors. Two of the sponsors,
Telos Alliance and Broadcasters General Store have have fulfilled their
sponsorship. Steve has done a heck of job getting this all together for
the chapter. There was som e discussion of the chapter sponsoring som e
scholarship funding. Finally, there will be no October m eeting due to the
Ennes W orkshop on the following day. Please sign up soon to attend.
New Business - none
August Program
The August program was presented by Jon and Peter Burk of
Burk Technology. Jon discussed the ARC Plus rem ote control and
its product features and the ease of conversion from their older
product line. Peter discussed the Jet Design Software m aking it
easy to program autom ated functions. Peter can be reached at:
