started a design office in Cape Town, South Africa where
talented designers joined our team and in the challenging
conditions of the South African coastline we could spend

DOUBLE POWERSEAM
A unique technology! Used for the sixth consecutive year in our
C6 wetsuits. Seams are triple glued and sealed off on both sides
with a liquid rubber seal. The liquid seal reinforces the seams and
prevent any water leakage. Our Stitchless wetsuit construction.
The advantage super stretch seams and the ability to use it on
skin surfaces.

Spin off our Powerseam technology. Triple glued seams with the outside
of the seam sealed by a wider liqued rubber seal. Creating a high stretch
seam. The inside of seam is protected by our glued and blind stitched technology. The advantage of the tough seam is the stretch seam and it prevents
any water leakage. The looks and benefits of our Powerseam plus the
durability of our glued and blind stiched wetsuits.
NEOPRENE IS A VERY SPECIFIC MATERIAL.
YOU SHOULD KNOW EVERY MOLECULE TO UNDERSTAND HOW
YOU CAN BUILD A PRODUCT FROM IT. MANY PEOPLE LOOK AT A
WETSUIT FROM A MARKETING STANDPOINT AND JUDGE ON ITS
COLOR AND PRINTS. THERE IS MORE TO IT.
Neoprene is a blown rubber laminated with a lining made out of
nylon, polyester or any other fabric. The amount of air in the rubber
determines the stretch of the neoprene which is the fundament of
the neoprene sheet.
The laminated materials is the material which is determing the
stretch and the amount of stretch but even more important the direction of the stretch.
Our neoprene is made out of limestone which is a rock that is remarkably free from impurities. This allowed us to develop suits
without using oil based neoprene. This neoprene also allowed us
to create lightweight suits with an exceptional thermal insulation,
with higher stretch, which are easier to take on and off, which reduce drag and increase speed and which is making our suits more
buoyant for above watersports usage.

The maximum of elongation of our neoprene is close to 500%
and human skin stretches to around 70% making our wetsuits
the most free moving wetsuits available. Precise seam placements are giving our wetsuits the exact fit without using the
stretch of the neoprene to fit to your body. Most wetsuits use
less seams which requires the neoprene to stretch to adapt to
your body which is minimizing the insulation.
FTM SEAM
FTM stands for our Fluid Taping Method. Triple glued seams with the outside of
the seam sealed of by a wider neoprene seal The inside of seam is protected
by our glued and blind stitched technology. The advantage of the FTM seam
is the stretch seam and creates a durable and watertight seam.
Prolimit is using different neoprene types for different usage
and different price segments.
GLUED AND BLINDSTITCHED SEAMS
Triple glued panels are stitched together with a special stitching method.
Partially puncturing the neoprene to keep the water tightness of the seam/
wetsuit. Each thread is protected by a tape at the end. Our perfect finish
makes our glued and blindstiched wetsuit undestroyable!

Using the NeXkin for the third season we have learned
a lot about this new material. Based on double lined neoprene
with a surface abrasive resistant NeXkin layer the suit offers you a
windchill factor which is as low as normal skin neoprene without the

History: By adding in more seam shape in our boots& shoes we
found out that it did not gave us better fit. The reason; we were
using the same last as all our competitors! The Alloy casted lasts
determines the shape and fit of neoprene footwear. A neoprene sock is mounted around the last and rubber parts are
joined together. The last goes into the oven for the rubber parts
to cure, moulding all exactly around the last.
Solution: Realizing this we started the search for a better last. We
found out that there are no lasts made for active water sports
. All lasts available in the market are made for multi purpose
usage; like for waders boots or fishing purposes which are static
shaped profiles.
OCL LASTS IS DIFFERENT!
While all other brands in the market are using lasts made from
fishing boots Prolimit took the effort to create something which is
noticeable when using. We challenge you, do the test yourself!
Most of the Prolimit boots and shoes are built using our unique,
Prolimit owned, OCL (Orthopedic Controled Last). Nobody in the
entire industry made the same effort to go this far! We created
the best SHAPE and TECHNOLOGY in a neoprene boot or shoe.

Neoprene wetsuits have remained unchanged since its original concept. This concept being a thin layer of water insulated
between your body and the wetsuit. Body temperature is
transferred into this water and insulted from surrounding weather
conditions. Seals on cuffs, collar and zipper ensure that an excess
of water does not enter the wetsuit.
WIND-CHILL
The human body loses heat largely through conduction and
convection. The rate of heat loss depends on the wind speed
over the surface, the faster the wind speed, the more readily the
surface cools. By using a 1st layer (innersystem garment), water
will remain against your skin and resist excess water entering.
Added thickness and insulation contributes to extra warmth
and wind-chill will have a minimal cooling effect. Comfort and
manoeuvrability will also increase as the wetsuit and innersystem
garment slide frictionless over each other.
PROLIMIT INNERSYSTEMS are made out of thin Limestone based neoprene.
A high heat reflective Titanium layer optimizes heat retention.

and we had to design KITE-SPECIFIC harnesses for real kite boarders.

Since then we have adhered to these principles and continuously improve our designs to make the best KITEBOARDING HARNESSES on the planet. We do not add or remove a handle pass leash
system to change a harness from a kite to a windsurf harness and
vice-versa. These are our Unique features that distinguish the two

• PULL DIRECTION RESISTANT. Our kite harnesses are built to withstand the forces of a kite pulling more vertically than horizontally during jumps and maneuvers. Prolimit kite harness were the
first to be CAD designed around an anatomically 3D model.
Because of this feature our harness allows perfect pressure
distribution for more comfort and rock solid stability. No matter
were the pull goes. Prolimit harness use pre curved and 3D
shaped inner plates. By doing this we ensure our way of true
3D shaped harness! Our unique combo profile.
•ASYMETRICAL BELT.
Our Kite boarding harnesses belts are ASYMETRICAL. This is done
for two reasons.
1.The overlap of the two belts is kept away from the maximum
flush area, which stops it from washing open with a severe
crash .
2.This overlap is also kept way from the bar pad, where it would
cause discomfort.
•MEMORY TABS. The Memory tabs are locking the front ends of
the harness body onto the neoprene waist belt. Once set up
for your tension preference, you can leave the MEMORY TAB
set and only use the CLOSURE TAB to close the belt system.
• INTEGRATED SLIDE IN BAR PAD SYSTEM. UNIQUE in our industry, it
combines with the harness body to give 360 degrees of padding encircling the body and protects the ribs and sternum
from spreader bar pressure during the huge vertical pull experienced when doing extreme moves or body-dragging. It locks
the spreader bar in place making it impossible for the bar to
ride up on its own. Our industry first innovation.
• HANDLE PASS LEASH. This is box-tacked in on both sides of the
Harness. On our high end models we added Heavy- Duty stainless steel D-ring to accommodate the extreme forces while
using it with either the rope-tube section, or attaching straight
to the D-ring.
•PROLIMIT patented PIN RELEASE BAR. The patented PIN RELEASE
BAR allows quick fitting on our KITEBOARDING HARNESSES. No
threading of webbing is necessary and buckle setting stay the
same. Just CLICK_AND_GO! Perfect and trouble free release in
every condition and added safety.
• Kite specific: STUMP NOSE SPREADER BAR SYSTEM. The STUMP
NOSE spreader bar combats unwanted unhooking from unusual pull directions like riding toe side.
•PROLIMIT FAT BAR. Used our high back Kite boarding harnesses.
The over-sized PROLIMIT FAT BAR gives an even more twist resistance for free-style freaks, gives added safety and shows how

•PROLIMIT Duracore belt: to make our harness un destroyable

Wave sails are different from Freeride/slalom sails and Slalom/Race sails have a complete different
profile and centre of effort. Prolimit adapted this in the complete new boom range with the UIC
bendcurve, giving each individual size boom and different profile targeted at the bend curve of
the sails the boom is build for. A smaller size boom has a more Wave type bendcurve, having the
deepest point of the boom more in front, while the bigger size booms are slightly wider towards the
back and the longest booms have the bendcurve way further to the back with a wider endtail as
well giving the racing sails also the space to breath and react their maximum speed.
