A few of his
graphic novels are
Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Hera, and

Once
they

O'Conner's favorite Greek
god is Hermes.
Hera
is
O'Conner's favorite
goddess. The students were also
treated to drawings
of Greek gods and
goddesses done on
a large chart paper
easel.

Another year,
another book drive.
Another successful
pile of gently used
books for the community.
Student
council
collected
boxes of books for
the
Community
Book Bank. An idea
inspired by Mrs.
O’Brien,
students
generously
gave
away books from Diary of a Wimpy Kid
to children’s books.
Mr. T’s class lead the
charge (again) collecting over 500
books. One student,
Ryan Potter, donated 217 books on
his own delivered on
a hand truck.

Twitter allows
users to connect
aro und
co mmo n
causes. Twitter is
mainly an open network which means a
user's tweets are open
for anyone to see,
unless
specifically
protected. This helps
people connect and
bring people closer to
their interests. Twitter is made up of 140charcter
messages
called Tweets.
These short
messages can range
from celebrity gossip,
sports tidbits and local news. Twitter was
created in March
2006 by Jack Dorsey,
Evan Williams, Biz
Stone, and Noah
Glass. On Twitter,
everyone
uses
hashtags. Hashtags
have been around for
more than 5 years.
For example, if a person typed in "#LMS"
any tweet with the
word "LMS" in it
would show up. They
are pulled together
into streams so that
people, businesses,
events and other organizations have the
opportunity
to
search, share and
communicate about a
particular topic.

My Script Calculator is not only
helpful with school
and hard problems
but it's also fun.

Asphalt 7 and 8
are apps that are entertaining racing games.
This game has amazing
graphics and has real
cars like Porches,
Dodge Chargers and
BMWs. Also, it costs
money, but if you have
an ITunes gift card then
you can use it on that.
This is a game that if
you play it you will get
a d d i c t e d .
If you don’t
have either, I suggest
How can anything
related
to
school be fun? It's
simple; when you
open the app all you
really do is swipe. For
example, if you get a
really hard problem
like 364 times 364 go
to your My Script
Calculator and swipe
in 364 times 364.
"I have bad
hand writing." Not to
worry
if
you
download My Script
Calculator! It corrects
all hand writings.
Many would
say that this app is
just like writing on a
piece of paper. This is
a great way to look at
it because it really is
true.
you download these
games. Asphalt 8 is free
for IPods and I Phones.
Even though Asphalt 7
costs money, it's worth
the money for any race
fan.

and students. It al-

lows peers to communicate with each
other in a faster and
more modern way.
This
app
makes
learning more enjoyable for students
since it is compatible
with this generation's
technology. Some of
the electronics use to
access this app are;
Iphones, Androids,
tablets, laptops etc.
Edmodo allows students to submit assignments and
quizzes. It also allows
students to help out
others with their
work if they are
struggling, by leaving
a comment on that
individual's work. A
student's
courtesy
and kindness never
goes unrecognized.
The teachers

that will pop up on
his/her Edmodo profile for everyone to
see. All in all, Edmodo a great app that
enhances
students
learning, teachers as
well.
