Each support organization provided area updates. Three different organizations presented over $4,100 in checks to our Wounded Warrior Fund. Our Chapter President recognized Lisa Thomas for her dedication to AUSA and our Chapter. Additionally, the Armed Services YMCA, Waynesville JROTC and Al West Collision Center made presentations during the meeting . Our next monthly meeting will be held Friday, March 6, 2015. Carolyn Handke presents a $835.31 check to the Wounded Warrior Fund on behalf of Panera Bread. Monies were collected through donation using a change jar located near the register. Warriors in Town Join us for our first Warriors in Town Dinner of 2015 at T’s Redneck Steakhouse in Lebanon, MO on March 4th at 6 pm. For more information please contact Shawn Howley @ [email protected] or Jeff Butler @ [email protected] Russ Lindenlaub (center) presents a $1755 check on behalf of the veterans of the 815th Engineer Battalion to the Wounded Warrior Fund. Willard Asphalt/KFLW presents a $1,600 check to the Wounded Warrior Fund. Steve Ehrhardt, Chapter President, presents Lisa Thomas, Chapter Administrative Assistant, with a plaque of appreciation for her years of dedicated and faithful service to AUSA. Scholarship Information The Fort Leonard Wood Association of the United States Army (AUSA), Chapter 5501 is offering four $500 one-time scholarships. The guidelines for these scholarships are: Applicants must be a member, spouse, or child of a member of the Fort Leonard Wood AUSA Chapter 5501. Applications can be found at our web address www.ausaflw.org Applicants must be accepted into a technical school, a 2-year or 4-year college/university accredited program. Applicants may be pursuing any area of study. Applications must be received by April 2015 Barracuda Randy Clayton, Al West Collision Center, spoke to the Chapter about a project he working to convert a 2014 Dodge Challenger into a 1971 Barracuda. Randy will raffle the car with a portion of the proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Fund. Look for the car at the April AUSA Monthly Meeting. Also, please welcome Al West Collision Center as a new Corporate Member in our Chapter. He also informed the group that Waynesville HS will be hosting a national Drill Meet during the spring. Chapter Activity Reports Chapter Activity Reports ( CAR Reports) informs National on all the programs, events, and amazing things our Chapter does for Wounded Warriors and Soldiers. Any business that is conducted for AUSA can be used to submit a CAR Report.
