Special Collection: Cell Phones for Soldiers Cell Phones for Soldiers Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing cost-free communication services to active duty military members and veterans. The organization was founded in 2004 by Robbie and Brittany Bergquist, then 12 and 13 years old, with only $21. CPFS relies on generous donors for cash contributions and funds raised by the recycling of used cell phones. Donating gently-used mobile phones is simple and FREE! Donated cell phones are sold to a recycling partner, Mindful eCycling. The money received from recycled cell phones is used to purchase calling cards and other communication tools for active-duty military members and to assist veterans as they transition into post-combat life. This October, the City of Rialto Waste Management Division will be collecting gently used cell phones which will be donated to Cell Phones for Soldiers just in time for Veterans Day. Bring your used cell phones and donate them to this wonderful cause. October 26th, 2013 • 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Rialto City Hall • South Parking Lot 150 S.
