PRAY FOR SOUTH ASIA
Announcements last week by the leader of al-Qaeda to
“raise the flag of jihad” and to “revive the Caliphate on the
prophetic methodology” in South Asia caused great
concern throughout the world.
Although counter
terrorism analysts give interesting views on the timing
and content of the announcement, it still poses a real
threat to South Asia. Pray that Islamic extremist ideals will
not make inroads into hearts and minds, that the eyes of
nominal Muslims will be open to the Good News, that the
church will be visable and active. I leave you with the
words of Brother Andrew: “Prayer is not preparation for
the battle - prayer is the battle.”
PASTORAL CARE
If anyone should require a home or hospital visit or home
based communion then please contact the
Pastoral Care team on 082 787 3587
AWF
Thank you to those who have returned their knitted strips
for blankets. We now have a shortage of knitting yarn! If
anyone knows where we can get Double knitting yarn donated, please phone Thalia on 0317622280. This is a very
worthwhile project which we would like to continue.

CHOICES HAVE CONSEQUENCES
*Deuteronomy 30: 15 - 20
Psalm 51
*Luke 19: 1 - 10
Hebrews 12: 14 – 17
INTRODUCTION
I believe that God gave each one of us the freedom to make our own choices.
All choices have consequences – even if we choose to do nothing.
But, God loves you. His mercies never come to an end.
CHOICES
Zacchaeus. (Luke 19: 1 – 10)
FREEDOM TO CHOOSE (Deuteronomy 30: 15 – 20)
God says it’s up to you to choose. You are responsible for your life.
Choose life!
NOW IS THE TIME TO CHOOSE
When I was young, there was so much going on. I just put off thinking about God. But avoiding a decision is still a choice!
The consequences of delay could be dire. (Luke 12: 13 – 21).
CAN WE AVOID THE CONSEQUENCES?
Esau lived a Godless and immoral life and when he wanted to inherit his blessing, God rejected him. (Hebrews 12: 16 - 17).
David seduced Bathsheba and had her husband killed so that he could marry her (2Samuel
11 - 12). David repented (Psalm 51), but the consequence remained.
WHERE DO I GET HELP?
ASK GOD
Prayer is listening to God, so I need to quiet my thoughts.
THE BIBLE
Spend time each day with the Word of God.
WISE CHRISTIANS
Home Groups are where we can help each other make Godly choices and face the consequences
of past choices. Be an active member.
CONCLUSION
God’s love for us has no boundaries.
The narrow path leads to life and the broad path leads to death.
Choose life!
