Internship Overview
Our mission is to provide a detailed, organized and unique internship experience, and strive to exceed the candidate’s academic requirements. The internship program is set to challenge all skill sets, integrate new philosophies, and establish core fundamentals.
We challenge and expect interns to return to their academic institution fully capable to relate textbook agronomics with real world situations, effectively communicate to peers and management, and acquire leadership skills to make an immediate impact upon graduation. We view a successful candidate to be career oriented, self-motivated, and open-minded to accept different roles and responsibilities. Our internship program offers endless opportunities to achieve your professional goals and advance in a competitive market.

History
The original founders of Sunnybrook were determined to have a small, proprietary golf club. They did not want a crowded course and the other problems associated with a large membership and “country club atmosphere.”
After relocation from its original location, Sunnybrook Golf Club was opened to play on June 16, 1956 in Plymouth Meeting, PA. The beautiful 18-hole facility was designed by William Gordon and his son David. [1]
Course Overview
In 2007, McDonald and Sons, Inc. began a long-range improvement plan which included complete renovation of green complexes, fairway bunkers and drainage installation. Greens - A1/A4 Creeping bentgrass
Tees & Fairways - Perennial ryegrass, creeping bentgrass and annual bluegrass mix
Rough - Turf-type tall fescue and perennial ryegrass mix
Sunnybrook is also in the planning process of a new state-of-the-art Maintenance Facility Complex. Mr. Tyler Bloom - Assistant Superintendent

Position Summary
As a key member of our Golf Course Management Team, you will join an innovative, passionate and professional team. The student intern will work alongside the Golf Course Superintendent, Assistants and help our staff provide a unique experience for our members and guests. One can expect to be involved with all aspects of the Greens Department including: Water
Management

Compensation
Eligibility

Must be enrolled and working toward a degree or certificate in Turfgrass management or related-industry field of study. ‣
Competitive wages + overtime
