Ford SYNC 2 with Voice Control and Touchscreen
New to Ranger Limited and Wildtrak, SYNC 2 provides a more complete infotainment system,
including a simplified touchscreen display, and improved Voice Control System allowing for more
natural phrasing (more details opposite).
Lane Keeping Alert and Lane Keeping AidØ †
Designed to recognise when you approach lane markings without using the indicator, and alerts you
with vibrations through the steering wheel. If the system detects that an unintentional lane change is
likely to occur, it is designed to apply a steering torque back towards the lane you were in.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Ranger’s highly sophisticated cruise control system helps to maintain your chosen cruising speed, as
well as a pre-set distance from the vehicle ahead.
The 8" colour touchscreen clearly displays music, phone, navigation, and climate
control choices.
Speak
You can tell Ford SYNC 2†† what you want with simpler, more intuitive commands. Say
“I’m hungry.” and it displays a list of local restaurants.
Touch
If you don’t want to use your voice, the system gives you seamless transition to
touchscreen control.
Hear
From turn-by-turn navigational instructions to reading out your text messages, Ford
SYNC 2†† has a voice that helps.
Traffic Sign Recognition
Designed to automatically read standard format road-speed signs and display the last posted speed
limit in the driver’s instrument cluster. Also available with optional Satellite Navigation for enhanced
traffic sign recognition.
Parking Distance SensorsØ
Activated when at speeds below 8 kph, sensors detect obstacles and provide an audible warning
when the vehicle nears an obstruction (standard on rear, option on front).

An important and potentially life-saving part of Ford SYNC 2 with Voice Control and
Touchscreen is Emergency Assistance. In the unlikely event of an accident, where the
airbag is deployed or the fuel-pump is deactivated, the technology can help you make
a direct call to the Emergency Services. Crucially, the system is designed to supply vital
information, such as your GPS coordinates, in the event you do not know your location
or you are not able to provide it yourself*.
Uses sensors.
Operates at speeds over 65 km/h on multi-lane roads with clearly visible lane markings.
*Ford Emergency Assistance operates in over 30 European countries. This feature works when paired with a compatible connected mobile phone that is
with you when an airbag is deployed (excludes knee airbags) or a sensor that registers a crash deactivates the fuel pump. Text function and Emergency
Assistance not supported by all European languages. ††Available on Ranger Limited and Wildtrak models only.
