Eliminates Drifting & Increases the
Life of Your Sliders
T he sole of a shoe is longer than it is wide so the
natural tendency of the foot when sliding is to go in
the direction it is pointed. Circles have equal force
on all areas and only travel in the direction they are
“pushed”, completely eliminating drifting from the
delivery. It will now be easy to slide on the path.
The grain in some sliding material, as well as worn,
warped and scratched sliders cause drifting. With
the Asham ROTATOR disk, simply remove the slider,
“rotate” it and put it back on the shoe until you find the
straightest sliding path. This extends the life of your
sliders.

THE RIGHT FIT
The most important thing is that your shoe fits properly. Ensure your foot has enough room in
the toe box. There should be about a half inch between your toes and the end of the shoe.
The shoe should be wide enough in the toe that your toes can move freely. Your heel should
not slip, and the shoe should not pinch or bind, especially across the arch or ball of your foot.
Also, be sure to wear the same socks you curl in. This can make a huge difference in how the
shoe fits. Try on both shoes. Your feet may not be the same size. If you have any questions
regarding our shoes please call us. Our goal is to find the Asham shoe that is right for you!

WHAT’S NEW
The revolutionary Xtreme Force handle enables curlers to increase their
sweeping power while, at the same time, reducing their risk of injury.
Testing with our proprietary technology* demonstrates the power advantage this
new handle provides, compared to the traditional straight-handled brush.
More sweeping power means that
curlers can exert a greater effect
on the path of the curling stone,
allowing the stone to travel further and
straighter. More sweeping power
translates into more shots
made and more games won.
The sweeping stroke consists of 2
parts: the “push” stroke (moving the
brush away from the sweeper’s feet)
and the “pull” stroke (moving the
brush toward the sweeper’s feet). A
sweeper typically exerts 40% to 60%
less force on the pull stroke than on
the push stroke.
The hand grips embedded in the
shaft of the Xtreme Force brush
handle allow the sweeper to exert
10% - 20% more force on the push
stroke by allowing the sweeper to
put more body-weight on the lower
hand.
More importantly, the Xtreme
Force handle allows the sweeper
to exert up to 40% more pressure
on the pull stroke, compared to the
old straight brush handle currently
in use. This occurs because the
handgrips allow sweepers to push
down with the lower hand while
pulling the brush toward their feet
with the upper hand.
Our testing also shows that using
the Xtreme Force handle
reduces the fatigue that sweepers
experience over the course of a
game, allowing them to sweep
stronger and longer.
In addition, because the handgrips
in the Xtreme Force handle allow
sweepers to place their hands in a
safer and more comfortable position
than is possible with the straight
handled brush, the risk of injury
to a sweeper’s wrists, elbows, and
shoulders, is reduced.
