In celebration of Johnny Appleseed's birthday, the first
grade teachers had rotations in each classroom. The
students did various activities tying to the first grade
standards. Activities included weighing and measuring
apples, learning the parts of an apple, apple tasting,
graphing our favorites, an apple science experiment, an
interactive Johnny Appleseed game, and apple poetry
and grammar. The first graders had so much fun learning all about apples and celebrating Johnny Appleseed's
birthday!

PHYSICAL EDUCATION NEWS
Here are a few photos showcasing the exciting things
happening in Physical Education class. Third and Fourth
graders recently completed their first fitness test of the
school year. Third Graders are hard at work on their situps while some Fourth graders are enjoying every second of the Pacer (running) Test. The fitness test also includes a flexibility test and push-ups. All students are
currently learning and practicing soccer! Kindergarten
students are practicing their dribbling skills while 3rd
graders are perfecting their kicking and goalkeeping
skills. World Cup 2034 look out!

MRS. DILLARD’S CLASS IS ENJOYING 1ST GRADE
2ND GRADE NEWS
The second grade students will be going to the Tri-Town Safety Village for their upcoming field trip. They will have fun learning
about fire, train, and pedestrian safety from local safety experts.

FALL FUNDRAISER
Our Fall Fundraiser was a huge success. Protsman School
made over $10,000. The money raised will help with
classroom materials and extracurricular activities. Our top
3 sellers were; 1st place: Miguel Linares, 2nd place: Aden
Ruiz, and 3rd place: Zachary Sinise. All 3 students will receive a Target gift card. A big thank you to all the students
and parents who helped us reach our goal. Your help is
greatly appreciated.
PICTURE RETAKE DAY
Picture retake day is Wednesday, October 22. Any student
who was absent on August 28th will get their picture
taken. Students who would like their picture retaken,
need to return the original picture packet.
LAKE CENTRAL FOOD AND NUTRITION SERVICES
