 Congresses / travel arrangements
Please keep the following procedure in mind:

PhD students & postdocs: all coordinates of the congress (i.e. name and website
of the congress, name of the persons who will participate, period, flight or other
travel details (please look up yourself the best offer) must be sent to
[email protected] for approval!
BUT KEEP IN MIND:
The registration of the congress, hotel booking, the reservation of your flight or
train,… will be arranged by the secretary’s office itself!

Special news
 Ilse Jonkers has been promoted to Associate Professor at FaBeR.
 On 1st Aug, Hans Van Oosterwyck has been promoted to new Head of the
Biomechanics section.
 We would like to thank Jos Vander Sloten for having served for so many years
as head of the Biomechanics section and for having it done in such an excellent
way!

Special news
 On July 4, 21 students received their master degree in Biomedical
Engineering; one student obtained the degree of our postgraduate programme.
Thanks to all of you for your time and efforts in training these students.
 We need to provide (Dutch-speaking) AAP/BAP delegates for the faculty council.
In 2014-2015 Axel van de Walle (PMA) and Aurélie Carlier (BMe) will be the
new delegates. Wouter Aerts (Bme) will replace Aurélie, if necessary.
Please let us know if you have any objections.
