Tri-Chamber Event to Celebrate 25 Years
State’s Largest Business Expo to Be Held September 26
The Tri-City Expo, a joint effort between
the Greater Concord, Manchester and
Nashua Chambers of Commerce, will be
held at the Radisson Hotel, Center of NH
in Manchester on Thursday, September
26, from 3–7 p.m. Recently named New
Hampshire’s “Best Networking Event” by
New Hampshire Business Review, the TriCity Expo will feature more than 200 New
Hampshire businesses and more than
1,000 attendees.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate 25 years
of this collaborative partnership
between three of the largest Chambers
of Commerce,” said Robin Comstock,
President & CEO of the Greater
Manchester Chamber of Commerce.
“This event continues to outshine other
networking events by offering exhibitors
and attendees the opportunity to expand
their network and interact with the
decision-makers from New Hampshire’s
most prominent companies,” said
Comstock.
stages including fundraising, logistical
planning and volunteer coordination.
To recognize the special nature of the
25th anniversary, the Tri-City Committee
is boasting some big changes to this
year’s expo including a new layout, a
larger bistro area, enhanced sponsorship
opportunities and a streamlined
exhibitor registration process.
Joseph B. Reilly, President & CEO of
Centrix Bank has been named Chairman
of the 25th Annual Tri-City Expo. Reilly
will lead a committed team of staff
and volunteers who will see the event
through from the initial planning
“Celebrating 25 years of proven success,
the Tri-City Expo is one of best tools our
members can take advantage of to grow
their business,” said Tim Sink, President
of the Greater Concord Chamber of
Commerce. “
Public Service of New Hampshire is the
Presenting Sponsor of the 2013 Tri-City
Expo. The annual event is an important
fundraiser for all three Chambers of
Commerce. Schall Creative, a full service
marketing agency out of Manchester,
serves as the Tri-City Committee’s creative
agency branding the event through a
refreshed logo, collateral materials and a
brand new website.
“For 25 years, our Chamber members
have enjoyed a network of collaboration
and partnership with our two sister cities,
and we look forward to celebrating this
landmark anniversary for the Expo with
them in September,” said Chris Williams,
President & CEO of the Greater Nashua
Chamber of Commerce.

ADVOCATING FOR YOUR BUSINESS
Connecting educators to businesses...
If you haven’t heard already, Manchester
has a new Superintendent of Schools! Dr.
Deborah Livingston has already begun
her tenure and is meeting members
of the community, building relations
that will serve both her and the schools
and her vision well into future. I had
the pleasure of sitting in on the search
committee, and being one of those
first few to meet her, I can tell you that
this woman is smart, experienced,
and committed to public education in
Manchester. I am excited to develop a
working relationship with her and the
business community well into the future.
It is the mission of the Greater Manchester
Chamber of Commerce to be a memberfocused organization that drives the
greater Manchester business environment
and the economic health and vitality of
the region by supporting business growth,
professional development, and networking
opportunities, while advocating for our
membership.

The Chamber of Commerce has a long

years. At that time we received a grant
to explore the perception of value

of Manchester. At the same time we

At this challenging
time,
we still think
that a good and respected public
education system is the bedrock of a vital
and thriving community. Graduating
qualified and competent young people
who are self-actualized and enlightened,
creative thinkers and problem solvers,
attracts more businesses and keeps
existing businesses in the region.
Today, our role has evolved from where it
was ten years ago. We are rebooting our
involvement with K-12 public education
at with a new program that was born
out of our newly formed Education
Committee called Educator Leadership
Greater Manchester. This program will
be modeled after our current Leadership
Greater Manchester program. E-LGM will
occur one-time-per-month from 3:306:00 p.m., from October to June.
The program was developed under the
premise that most teachers go from
college to the classroom with little to no
experience in the non-academic work
environment. The Education Committee
believes that if teachers/educators have
good relations with area business leaders
and a better understanding of business
leaders’ needs, it will in turn influence
their teaching priorities and their
approach to teaching, for the benefit of
students as the future workforce. The
ultimate objective is to provide teachers
During the pilot year we will have
space for ten teachers. Each month
will be dedicated to a specific industry.
Some of the business segments that
may be visited may include hospitality,
technology, retail, law, government, nonprofit, engineering and public safety.
Our hope is that this program will
continue to grow year over year and we
can continue to connect educators with
the business community directly to share
their needs. If you’d like to get involved
please consider joining the Education
Committee at the Chamber. We’ll share
the progress here in this newsletter as
the program progresses.
