location ahead. Thanks to its agility and the perfect combination
of the 113 hp of the Testastretta 11° engine with Riding Mode
technology, the new Hypermotard 939 guarantees an
exciting riding experience in any road conditions. The new
Hypermotard 939 is the perfect motorcycle for riding with ease
in traffic as well as for enjoying twisty roads out of town - a

Lean, tough and dynamic, both in terms of performance
and design: this is the new Hypermotard 939. Control is
facilitated by a dominating ride position while the engine,
which has even greater torque, and the excellent handling
enable the bike to combine supermotard character with the
performance, rideability and versatility typical of naked bikes.
It’s a motorcycle with an attitude all its own, ready to deliver
unforgettable emotions thanks to its tough Hyper character.

MOTARD STYLE,
UNMISTAKEABLE
DESIGN
The Hyper’s design highlights the motard style, creating
an attractive silhouette that’s both compact and light. The
die-cast aluminium subframe and the slim and narrowsided fuel tank bring out an unmistakeable Ducati sports
character. Likewise, a single-sided rear swingarm, trellis
frame, long-travel suspension, and new handguards with
integrated LED indicators underline the sports nature and
bold design of the new Hypermotard 939.

THE RENEWED
TESTASTRETTA
The Hypermotard 939 takes another leap forward thanks
to the new 937 cc Testastretta 11° engine, made even
more fluid, responsive, and powerful with maximum torque
increased by 10% and focused especially at low and medium
rpm. With a new exhaust system, this engine gives 113 hp
of maximum power while staying within Euro 4 noise and
emissions regulations, and is also equipped with a new
oil cooler to ensure optimal engine temperature, always.
The easy tractability and generous delivery of the new
Testastretta 11° enhances the versatility of the Hypermotard
939 while at the same time confirming the unmistakeable
character of a Ducati twin-cylinder. It carries a distinctive
technical heritage, embodied in its legendary Desmodromic
valvetrain, as well as the latest modern componentry such as
a slipper clutch which allows aggressive yet fully controlled
downshifts, providing unparalleled riding sensations.

DYNAMIC CHASSIS
SET-UP
Ergonomics, agility in directional changes and cornering stability –
this is the “Hyper” chassis setup. A compact and strong steel tube
trellis frame keeps weight to a minimum, and ergonomics including
raised handlebars and a shaped seat give a practical and comfortable
riding position. The single-sided rear swingarm and suspension with
generous travel give maximum traction and grip even on less-thanperfect surfaces, emphasising the control and versatility of the new
Hypermotard 939. Braking is secure, powerful and controllable
thanks to the Brembo braking system, which comes complete with
Bosch 9MP ABS and front monobloc callipers. The perfect setup for
exhilarating Hyper performance.

ADVANCED
ELECTRONICS
The new Hypermotard 939 benefits from all of Ducati’s most
innovative technology, including Ducati Traction Control (DTC)
which enhances the performance and active safety of the
motorcycle, Bosch 9MP ABS to ensure minimal braking distances,
and a full Ride-by-Wire system which permits customizeable
Riding Modes. These specially developed Riding Modes allow
the rider to adjust engine power and response, as well as ABS
and DTC levels at the touch of a button, perfectly adapting the
motorcycle to different road conditions or rider preferences. The
Hypermotard 939 also benefits from compact and lightweight LED
turn signals that are stylishly integrated into its handguards, and
advanced instrumentation with a sleek and modern LCD display
including an indicator of the currently selected gear.

THE HORIZON IS HYPER
The new Hyperstrada 939 provides the perfect combination
of riding enjoyment and the fun of the journey. Thanks to
dedicated ergonomics and a series of touring features, the
new Hyperstrada 939 provides a new riding experience for
those who love cornering even when they’re far from home.
A comfortable low seat height together with 50 litre capacity
semi-rigid panniers and Pirelli Scorpion Trail tyres developed
from the experience gained with the Multistrada, make the
new Hyperstrada 939 the ideal companion for pushing forward
the boundaries of enjoyment. Passenger grab handles,
two 12 V power sockets and a touring windscreen add to its
comfort, versatility and aerodynamic protection, while a central
stand, extra-large mudguards and an engine guard expand
the touring capability of the motorcycle still further. Thus the
new Hyperstrada 939 broadens the horizons of enjoyment.

HYPER ADRENALINE
Experience the thrill of the Hyper SP - raised ride height, forged
aluminium Marchesini wheels, and a fully adjustable Öhlins fork
and shock absorber pump adrenaline to the max. With three
dedicated Riding Modes – Race, Sport and Wet – along with
ABS and DTC, the new Hypermotard 939 SP is ready to face any
challenge. A sports bike that accepts no compromises, it shows
its racing character with pride thanks to a new SP livery, a red
trellis frame, magnesium valve covers and carbon fibre details.
A raised setup and dry weight of 178 kg also make the new
Hypermotard 939 SP the ideal bike for the racetrack. And to make
it even more track-ready there’s a sport seat, a radial master brake
cylinder, and Pirelli Supercorsa SP tyres - for an unforgettable riding
experience on the edge of performance.

Real enjoyment is a simple and carefree experience. For this
reason the new Hypermotard 939, Hyperstrada 939 and
Hypermotard 939 SP combine exciting performance with maximum
reliability and well-spaced maintenance schedules. Constant
investment in the design stage, the choice of the most advanced
parts and painstaking research carried out on materials have made it
possible to space out the scheduled maintenance even further. In fact
the Desmo Service, which includes the checking and adjustment – if
necessary – of valve clearance is carried out only every 30,000 km.
A highly significant result which goes to confirm Ducati’s experience
and technical excellence.
