received several international festival awards, such as

and gives workshops of Literary Creation in various

Mairarê has a toucan as a pet, but she
also loves to read books. Mairarê enters
the woods with the shaman, but she

rock musician Renato Russo and filmmaker Quentin

H eloisa P rieto has a degree in Letters (USP),
Master in Communication and Semiotics (PUC) and
a PhD in French Literature (USP). She wrote more
than sixty books and have several works adapted for
film, theater and television in addition to translate,
adapt and coordinate literary works for children
and youth. She also holds several literary awards
and gives workshops of Literary Creation in various
institutions.

Quixote, King Arthur and the Three
Musketeers – Heloisa Prieto invites us

the ancient myths to world´s major films´

M aria J osé S ilveira is a writer and translator.
She has published six novels and received several
awards for her work. She is the author of twelve
YA books and six children’s books, many of whom
awarded and adopted in schools. Some of her
books have also been published abroad. Maintains
a fortnightly column in the newspaper O Popular,
and was founding partner and director of Marco
Zero Publisher. She has a degree in Communication
and Anthropology and a Master of Political Science.
Unveiling contradictions and paradoxes of the creative act, the book weaves
deep considerations about the writing
process. Where do stories come from?
How are they told? When are they released into the world? In addition to
these issues, the book is also about the
specifics that are involved in a writer’s
job, the cultural industry and the intricate
relationship between literature and history. To cross “this street of knowledge”
and address myths as inspiration, sexual
persona, or the habit of chance capture
and observation of the world, Maria José
gathered testimonials by fellow writers
Ivana Arruda Leite, Luiz Bras, Índigo, Marcelino Freire, Rodrigo Lacerda, among
several others. Believing that “the fascination for extraordinary stories is part of
