absinthe distilled by a Paris based
distiller using Grand Wormwood
(Artemisia absinthium) and other fine
herbs. La Fée Parisienne was the first
traditional absinthe distilled in France
since the 1915 ban and is the only
absinthe endorsed by the Musée de
l’Absinthe, Auvers-sur-Oise, France. Each
distillation is personally approved by
world-renowned absinthe expert, MarieClaude Delahaye. Parisienne is distilled
at the traditional 68% abv following
an authentic 19th century recipe and
louches perfectly when water is added.

The diversity in the crus, the years,
the grape varieties and the styles
has allowed Marc Darroze to work
on this range known as “Les Grands
Assemblages” (The Great Blends). This
blend with very little wood influence,
displays a predominance of fruity
aromas, along with a variety of other
flavours, including prunes, candied
orange zest and quince to name but a
few. A straight armagnac that is highly
strung but nevertheless, smooth and
enveloping. You can drink this armagnac
as an aperitif, with or without ice.

Cartron has been a family business
since 1882, with strong roots in the
town of Nuits-Saint-Georges at the
heart of Burgundy’s cru vineyards. The
soil of this region has been producing
high quality fruit for centuries, which
for have been used in the production
of Burgundy wines, or fruits to produce
juices, liqueurs and fruit brandies. Careful
choice of ingredients combined with
specially created recipes is the heart of
what makes Joseph Cartron’s products
special. Eau-de-vie is distilled with great

Distiller, stumbled across a fragment
of one of his early Victorian price lists,
inspiration struck. It takes just one
full London day to give Beefeater 24

Sloe berries are slowly and gently

Dartmoor water and a small amount of

de Bourgogne. The blackcurrants, are
chosen with the greatest of care. The
liqueur is essentially composed of the
first infusion; a little quantity of the
second infusion is added which tones
down the natural acidity of the Noir de
Bourgogne. The slow incorporation of
crystallized sugar develops the flavour
of the fruit and allows the mixture
to reach the ideal strength without
addition of water. This process is the
result of a ‘tailormade’ recipe jealously

The Bitter Truth – Golden Falernum Liqueur
is an exotic spiced liqueur on the base
of the finest Caribbean Rum. In ancient
Rome Falernum was the name of the most
favoured and most expensive wine. Modern
Falernum has almost nothing in common
with its ancient predecessor except its rich
golden tint. This sweet liqueur was usually
flavoured with limes, almonds, cloves and
ginger, and gained in importance during the
tiki era in the middle of the 20th century.
With an ABV of 18 % Golden Falernum is a
very distinctive feature among its category.
The full-bodied Caribbean Rum which
is used as a base supports the complex
exotic flavour profile composed of spicy
ginger, citrus fruits, almonds and allspice.
This Falernum can be sipped neat or on
ice but it also goes well with aged spirits
like Whisk(e)y, Rum and Brandy. And of
course it’s an indispensable ingredient in
numerous Tiki Drinks.

Tapatio’ is a Mexican word referring to a
man from Jalisco, the tequila-producing
state of Mexico. Women from the region
are known as ‘Tapatias’. At the La Alteña
distillery, the methods of production
are the same as they were a century
ago, with a large stone wheel (known
as a Tahona) turned in a pit to crush the
cooked agave plants. The juice and agave
fibres are then mixed in a barrel by foot
before fermentation and distillation.
The spirit from La Alteña is the only
100% blue agave tequila double
distilled at 80 proof and bottled without
any additional water to preserve the
tequila’s real flavour. Other tequila
makers distil to a high proof and then
dilute the tequila with water to bring it
down to 80 proof.

banditos, river rafts, bribes, disguises,
and late night drop points. Desperate
for a good mezcal to stock at his bar,
Cafe No Se, John Rexer began smuggling
artisanal mezcal from Oaxaca, Mexico
to Antigua, Guatemala in 2004. This

community. With prestigious retailers
such as Harvey Nichols and Selfridges we
can confidently say that this is a product

following. Ripe cherries from eastern and
southern Poland are used to produce
our natural cherry vodka. The whole
fruit including the stones is ‘washed’ for
2 weeks using premium grain vodka at
a strength of 70%. 1kg of cherries will
produce 2 litres of Davna Czeri. When the
liquid is reduced to a consistent strength
of approximately 40%, it is transferred to
1000 litre oak barrels where it is rested
for 1 year. This is clearly much more than
just a vodka!

The Dalmore Distillery has been
producing exceptional single malt
whisky since 1839 and, for almost
a century, was owned by the Clan
Mackenzie. The clan’s defining influence
on the distillery is still evident to this
day, with the iconic royal stag’s antlers
– taken from the Mackenzie family crest
– adorning each and every bottle of
The Dalmore. Located on the northern
shores of the Firth of Cromarty, deep
in the spectacular Scottish Highlands,
the distillery is perfectly placed to
take advantage of a feast of natural
resources: from the waters of Loch Morie,
found high in the hills overlooking the
distillery, to the golden barley of the
rich coastal soils of the Black Isle. Being
sited at sea level is critically important.
Enveloped by the salt air, the sea-facing
traditional dunnage warehouses provide
the ideal conditions for maturation.
