I’ve been surfing waves of all sizes for close to half a century, experiencing
some of the greatest thrills that the ocean can provide. However, it wasn’t
until I started StandUp paddling 15 years ago that I dropped my expectations,
humbled myself, and in the process, renewed my excitement for surfing.
By progressing through those years from beginner to expert, I have learned
what a StandUp paddler of each level needs at various stages of experience.
I channeled that information, and the knowledge of my Team, into the Laird
StandUp line of boards, paddles and accessories. Whether it is surfing,
touring, racing or yoga, we have the right board and paddle for you.

SURFER - The result of years of experience and development, the Surfer is Laird’s “go to” board and the
single most versatile board on the market. The rounded nose with concave bottom allows for easy wave
entry and stable nose riding. The thin design along with the pintail shape keeps the rider close to the
waterline and allows for easier rail-to-rail carving. All this without losing stability!

SURFER-HYBRID - The Hybrid is designed for progressive style surfing from the tail of the board. The
pulled-in nose gives the Hybrid a lighter swing weight and efficiency in windy conditions. The curve in
the outline gives it more maneuverability.
FIRE FISH - The Fire Fish shape allows for a lot of drive out of the rail, and the swallow tail lets the rider
sit further back in the tail for more extreme cutbacks and vertical snaps off the lip. The Fire Fish is
designed for dynamic StandUp surfing on hollow, smaller, faster waves!

LX RACE - Fast and stable, our premier Carbon Fiber Race board has all the technical touch you will ever need.
The fifty-fifty nose design cuts through the water without digging or catching. The sleek bottom design channels
the water smoothly through the board to the tail, where it is released efficiently.
LX TOURING - The LXT has the same technical design features of the LXR with added width for increased
stability. The LXT does double-duty as a high-performance touring and downwind board and is well suited for

our line of inflatable paddle boards. Built with top quality two-layer drop stitch material for rigidity and durability,
the boards travel well. They will handle all kinds of abuse, from baggage handlers to river bottoms to a pack of kids

SOFT TOP CRUISER - The Laird ST Cruiser is a perfect board for first time paddlers, rental fleets and StandUp Paddle
schools. The ST Cruiser offers a stable platform for various sizes and levels of paddlers for use in all conditions from
flat water to surf. The abrasion-resistant EVA on the rails, nose and tail protect the board from paddle dings and
minor abrasions caused by docks or other obstructions. The ST Cruiser is the strongest soft top on the market.

ELAN - Inspired by passion and enthusiasm, the Elan supports all aspects of on-water fitness.
On-water yoga and fitness requires a board that is stable and paddles well. The Elan’s template and
bottom contours provide both, together with eight anchor points for resistance training to increase

BOARD BAGS - Laird StandUp offer board bags
for every size of board in the range. They are
manufactured from high quality reflective
tarpaulin, using high quality trim - designed to
keep your board cool and well protected in travel.
LEASHES - Laird StandUp offer two types of
leashes; a coiled leash for flat water paddling,
which keeps the cord out of the water for minimal
drag, and a straight leash available with ankle
or knee cuff. The leashes are constructed with a
polyurethane cord, nylon stitching and a stainless
steel double swivel.
FINS - Fins have a huge impact on the feel,
stability, drive and maneuverability of a board –
Shaped and designed by Laird himself, these fins
are constructed with fiberglass, honeycomb and
carbon fiber. This allows the fin to be lightweight
and flex when you need it to. The 2.5-degree cant
creates more drive for surfing conditions.
